Toxic co workers who do not have the clients best interest in mind ie only care about their seniority when in reality they are sick and tired of their job and their lives and make other co workers feel miserable in the process.
Lack of continuity of care. Lack of support, Lack of staff appreciation. Gossip. ie high turn over rate for both frontline staff and managers.
Noticed that front line staff used to be called Community Support Workers, now they are just "Support Workers". Why? Community Support Workers actually provide community inclusion for the people they support. Support Workers equals to Glorified Baby Sitters who sit and gossip in the group home while the people they support does nothing in the home.
Ask these so called Support Workers this question: What did you teach your client today? Or what did you do with your client today? The answer you will get is a blank stare, like you've asked a question that is so taboo.
Lazy staff, read the senior staff's daily journals. All the proof of their laziness is there yet, senior management turns a blind eye. Why? Its hard to find decent workers who will actually stay and put up with these staff.
Staff you complain about does not get fired, they are under BCGEU. HR moves them to another location so said staff can start over and mess things up at another location.
I only left to complete my degree and due to a family crisis in another province; otherwise, I would not have left.
