Good pay for the work you, terrible management
TRUCK LOADER (Former Employee) –  Aylmer, ON8 August 2017
The supervisors are a little two faced which makes it hard to know if you can trust them or not. There's nothing to work towards. Once you are a top rate (which is like $25-26/ hour) there are no positions to continue advancing to. It's okay if you're okay with make $26/ hour for the rest of your life with no education. There's no more learning, you just get complacent and bored. It's not a career it's a day job you want to quit after 5 years because you realize you have to work 20+ years just to get to the day shift and get your 5 weeks of vacation. It was good for a time but there are better things than working in a plant. Guys on night shift have a bond but supervisors and the day shift seem to be a back stabbing crew.
Pros
Good nightshift crew
Cons
Supervisors, employee association isn't really on your side, day shift is hard to get on and they're a nasty bunch to be with anyway

Good People but limited advancement opportunity
Manager (Former Employee) –  Aylmer, ON21 January 2017
Good People but limited advancement opportunity. Pay scale is also on the low end of spectrum. If there was opportunity to advance and significant increase in wage might have considered staying

Co-op student (Former Employee) –  Aylmer, ON28 May 2014
A typical day would have me welding or grinding some sort of piece of machinery that fits on one of the plasma cutters or on one of the lines. I would be working with the maintenance crew who where fully licensed millwrights to get the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Pros
Learned alot from licensed millwrights
