Good pay for the work you, terrible management
TRUCK LOADER (Former Employee) – Aylmer, ON – 8 August 2017
The supervisors are a little two faced which makes it hard to know if you can trust them or not. There's nothing to work towards. Once you are a top rate (which is like $25-26/ hour) there are no positions to continue advancing to. It's okay if you're okay with make $26/ hour for the rest of your life with no education. There's no more learning, you just get complacent and bored. It's not a career it's a day job you want to quit after 5 years because you realize you have to work 20+ years just to get to the day shift and get your 5 weeks of vacation. It was good for a time but there are better things than working in a plant. Guys on night shift have a bond but supervisors and the day shift seem to be a back stabbing crew.
Supervisors, employee association isn't really on your side, day shift is hard to get on and they're a nasty bunch to be with anyway
