If you were previously focused on growth and doing lots of stuff quickly or was wearing multiple hats at the same time, this will be different. You may still feel pressured to wear multiple hats by the situation but you're encouraged to focus on issues more deeply and have fewer consequences for not doing everything. It's not always an enjoyable experience because it's new and hard but it's definitely one where you learn, grow, and enhance your expertise.

Working at this place was horrible - management has no idea, absolutely no idea what they're doing. The hours are not reasonable (12-16 hours long with hardly any breaks) and the procedures they enforce (with barely any notice) are just ridiculous.

UCIT used to be a great work place. The employees are very nice and its like a family. After the Management shake up it became a very hostile environment. Pay is not very good, but people stay because the people are nice and it's a comfortable place to work. Most only stay 6 months to a year.
Very promising company with a well-equipped gym!!!

My typical day: software testing, contact with clients, failure reports. I leaned a lot of new staff: cameras, encoders, network, CCTV etc. Excellent management (one of the best management in my life). My co-workers are real professionals in their field. The realize of new version is the hardest part of my job. The most enjoyable part for me - to catch the complex bug.

I've been at UCIT online security for about 9 months now and the 12 hour shifts make it difficult to balance life, school and work. The pay is great but management is chaotic in the sense that they do not know what they are doing. They do not know how the monitoring operators actually operate, they promise things and go back on their word, and they do not acknowledge us in the office. There is favoritism and management tend to set employees up for failure and therefore write ups, which lead to dismissal.
