Census Enumerator (Former Employee) – Berwick, NS – 27 April 2017
Working as a Census Enumerator for Statistics Canada was a great experience. Visiting houses around the neighborhood, I got to talk to people I wouldn't otherwise talk to, as well as enjoy the nice weather. I enjoyed working for Statistics Canada.

Statistics that are compiled properly, with scientific methodology and margin of error calculations- are of vital importance to inform both the public and government policy-makers, in order to make good decisions. I feel that being part of that process is both a privilege, and an interesting position. Although all work that I performed for Statistics Canada was contractual, for 6 months or less, the flexibility of schedule, the team work of staff, and the rate of pay, were always fair to good. Statistics Canada almost always rewards the Bilingual staff with a premium hourly wage.
Premium Extra Pay for Bilingual Staff, fair hourly wage
Job Security. Many jobs are contractual and temporary
Telephone Interviewer (Former Employee) – Sturgeon Falls, ON – 15 April 2017
Statistics Canada was a great experience because everyone seemed to be organized and I knew what I was doing and where I was working every morning when I came in. If I ever had any questions a supervisor would have no problem helping me.
