Good part-time job for students
Pros include: flexible hours for students, good co-workers, and the ability to get cross-trained Cons include: you're required to ask a lot of questions at checkout, the cash systems are outdated, and discounts could be better

Copy Consultant in Mississauga, ON
on 17 June 2022
Low salary, poor management.
I was lead of the copy & print department in a retail Staples store, responsible for the complete oversight of the department, customer escalations, and employee training. However, I was getting paid the same minimum wage as a part-time cashier and would constantly be called on my days off. Management and upper Corporate often broke internal company policies, they discouraged employees from advancement so they could avoid rehiring.

Stressful environment
Good place to start your career in customer service. However, after 3 months you'll be heading for the door. Work/Life balance is horrible. Your shift changes every week.
