Worst place I ever worked. Got demoted because some crack head didn’t like me so went for lunch with the new VP to say how bad I was . Run by greedy Americans that don’t care. The mangers in the CF34 plant are a buch of back stabbing snakes that are out to make you look bad and sewer each other. 2100 plant has a bunch mangers that could care less about their employees. Your experience outside of Standardaero means nothing only ones that are respected are the engineers and most of them are complete idiots. They would not keep the doors open in any other city then Winnipeg

NDT/Quality Inspector (Former Employee) –  Winnipeg, Manitoba3 August 2018
I was first an NDT Inspector; then moved into quality. Excellent training program. Good coworkers overall, some very good cell leaders/managers. The workplace culture was very good. I learnt the importance of quality. Personally, I never had any negative things to say about this employer and would highly recommend StandardAero as a great place to work.

Aircraft Mechanic (Current Employee) –  Winnipeg, MB31 January 2018
The company in years past had a small business feel. It didn't pay the best, but the structure of the company and home like feel kept people around. Lately however it feels cold and corporate. Job security is no longer a good feeling and the pay has remained poor.
Pros
Flexible hours
Cons
Poor wage

Admin (Former Employee) –  Winnipeg, MB17 July 2017
Management is truly unqualified right from the top down and don't expect HR to care because they will only provide lip service while thinking there is no problem.

There is a good reason why they are always looking, qualified workers know that they will be better appreciated elsewhere.
Pros
There are some great people there. Sadly, they all get treated poorley.
Cons
Inexperienced management, poor training and a buddy system that ensures you have no future there.

Gas Turbine Repair and Overhaul Technician (Former Employee) –  Winnipeg, MB14 August 2015
Standardaero was a great place to work and I enjoyed my time there. The people are great and there is a lot of opportunity to learn new things. The job was fun and the management helps you to succeed and grow. Benefits were great and vacation was plentiful. Unfortunately, their weak point is their wages. Could make more working many other places.
Pros
Job stability, management, culture, benefits
Cons
Low Wage

Quality Inspector, SCA (Former Employee) –  Richmond, BC25 September 2014
Great place to work. I was involved in a variety of tasks within the logging industry. Most of the work was hi-lead logging using choker and grapple yarders.
Most of the jobs where spent in remote locations at logging camps.

Technician (Former Employee) –  Tilburg, NB20 December 2013
At StandardAero I was responsible for every phase of engine maintenance. Sometimes investigative and sometimes overhaul.
I learned how a gas turbine engine works and the inspection of all components at the detail level. I also repair, balance and built components and the entire engine.
Pros
high tech environment
Cons
lack of team work

standardaero Ltd
Detail Ispector (Current Employee) –  Winnipeg, MB19 July 2012
It is a very well maintained facility and a close family working environment, everybody is always willing to help you. It is very team oriented and the hardest part of the job is not being able to learn fast enough and leran new skills. The work environment teaches you to take your time and don't rush, they would prefer you do things right the first time.
Pros
atmosphere, benefits and job security...also lots of free lunches
Cons
the slow process it takes for you to be able to work by yourself..
