High school
English Copywriter (Former Employee) - Montréal, QC - 8 November 2023
Strange place, feels like high school. If that's what you're looking for you've found it but also you probably shouldn't be looking for something that feels like high school.

typical ecommerce work but on a bigger scale-- good coworkers but poorly managed and upper brass sucks
Freelance Photographer (Former Employee) - Montréal, QC - 31 October 2023
it's like working at a factory for e-commerce photos. your coworkers will be good, fun even. but upper brass treats you as a number, so you can get laid off or not booked at any point
Pros
free fruit, coffee
Cons
fast paced shooting, lots of skus to go through

Summer WH
Warehouse Clerk (Former Employee) - Dorval, QC - 17 October 2023
I worked for ssense during their summer sale season. It was really busy and overtime hours for packers was mandatory even though during the interview they did not mention that the overtime would be required.

Fun place to work
Editor (Former Employee) - Montréal, QC - 28 September 2023
SSENSE offers a lively and dynamic working environment, making it an enjoyable place to be. However, it's worth noting that the workload can be quite stressful at times. Additionally, while many colleagues are supportive, there are a few who may not be as friendly or cooperative.

labor exploitation
Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) - Montréal, QC - 25 September 2023
If you cannot find a job and need the money, yes it makes sense otherwise there is no job security whatsoever. I needed a part-time job and the job suited my need. the environment is moderate.

Plan B
Operations Coordinator (Former Employee) - Montréal, QC - 12 September 2023
Working there is really hard and you should keep it as plan B. Not the worst place to avoid and not the best for sure. There are always preferences for some groups. However, you will learn a lot and you will feel comfortable to ask for help.

good place
Shipping Clerk (Former Employee) - Montréal, QC - 12 September 2023
It's a good place to work on a temporary basis. Just do your job every day and don't get involved in overly complicated relationships. The company is good, the management is bad. Especially some coordinators.

Productive and fast pace
Supply chain (Current Employee) - Canada - 7 September 2023
Supportive management yet work manual; Flexible working yet pay/promotion given in a slow pace; also staffing level low; Important projects timeline and operation overlap too much

productive
Fulfillment Associate (Former Employee) - Saint-Laurent, QC - 31 August 2023
its a good company to work with the coordinators are most friendly especially the A10 morning schedule though there is always a pressure but still it was a reasonable because this kind of work there is always a qouta that need to be meet. the hardest part is its hard for them give you a permanent position only to those who have a close that having a highest position. no matter how hardworking you are vs lazy one if this person having a connection to the managers he/she have a big chance to get a promotion rather than a hardworking without connections.a lot of permanent in ssense but they are not working well. except those person dedicated his/her job.

Toxic Senior Management
Buyer/Planner (Former Employee) - Montreal, QC - 29 August 2023
To sum it up, there are 2 different types of senior management at SSENSE. The ones who are nice to your face but turns about and complains to your boss about you. And another type who thinks because they are the VP, they can talk down and belittle you. Even under a remote working arrangement, you can feel the toxicity of the company. This all stems from the handful of senior management.
Pros
Remote working
Cons
Toxic environment

Depressing workplace
Packer (Former Employee) - Montréal, QC - 21 August 2023
The amount of times you will be spoken down to by managers who dont seem to actually do anything is pretty high. Add on top the depressive work area and you got yourself a dream job if you want to hate life.
