Bad company policies and dishonest managers
Customer service (Former Employee) –  Montréal, QC11 June 2018
It was good for the first week and after you start to see the true colors of managers. They like to talk behind peoples backs and its all Men managers and 98% of the employees are women....

They only hire pretty women and the manager were very flirty with employees, which some told me they got uncomfortable.
I left on my own terms but I warn anyone joining this company.
Find another job because you will have no career potential at SSENSE.

Very unprofessional managers but the employees are super nice and friendly. You think SSENSE and u think luxury and class but they are far from classy and also very dishonest.
Pros
free coffee
Cons
All men managers who hire pretty young girls.

Easy Job , Terrible Management
Shipper (Former Employee) –  Montréal, QC22 March 2018
Employees make the work environment somewhat enjoy ,the schedule could be better , especially when they choose to force overtime on people unexpectedly. Management is absolutely terrible , disrepectful and only care about themselves even if it requires them to curse/shout and degrade their own employees. They tell you that you will have an employee discount after your hired but really you only get the employee discount if they keep you for 3 months after your initial contract which is rare , because they lay off a lot of people before the 3 month probation
Pros
employee discount (only if they keep you for 3months after your initial contract), the employees
Cons
Terrible Management, Schedules, Strict Rules

Customer Service Agent (Former Employee) –  Chabanel, QC4 February 2018
As a customer service agent you have a lot of e-mails and calls to answer but the managers are there to help you with your questions. Great opportunity to work in a fashion company. However it is difficult to advance within the company.

Pay is very low and they make you work overtime..the day u recruit they wont tell u about overtime but after u recruit they force u todo overtime they never look at ur concern, u have to listen what tthey tell u, the managers are rude and how they become managers i dont know, Managers talk bad about their employees and are not there to be your friend but to tell you what to do.

Wouldn't recommend, abusive supervisor and co-ordinator. Decent and well designed work place.Overall, it would be a good summer job. Working in winter would become difficult due to distance.

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Montréal, QC8 September 2017

Horrible management and lousy pay
Fraud Analyst (Former Employee) –  Montréal, QC7 June 2017
Worst job experience ive ever had. Managers are discriminatory and racist. Avoid this company at all costs. Ive never seen a more immature management team in my life and I work for a bank now.
They need to fire the managers for being inadequate for the job and treating their employees like pure garbage. Never felt so disrespected at a job then at SSENSE. Better off somewhere else.

Management team is discriminatory and should be fired.
Software Developer (Former Employee) –  Montréal, QC24 May 2017
The company, at first, seems legitimate. They also offer benefits and seem like a good place to work.

That said, the management is terrible, and workers are not acknowledged for their work or respected. Inter- and intra-department politics prevents any upward mobility, and management is known for its lack of transparency and unfairness, as well as arbitrary firing practices based on preference or discriminatory policies. They also prefer hiring pretty women and I can only imagine what these pathetic "managers" are thinking about.

While some of the coworkers are great - as is the case in any job - many are opposed to change, new ideas, and are resistant to those who excel at their work. Most calls are about lost packages and SSENSE isnt responsible so you will be handling yelling customers and youll have management behind you laughing.

If you desire to build a career, or work in a respectful and honest environment, do not work at SSENSE.

Avoid at all costs lousy pay.

Fake company and managers
Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Montréal, QC23 May 2017
Very poor managed company. Managers have no idea what to do or who to assign. Pay is very low and they make you work overtime.. Managers talk bad about their employees and are not there to be your friend but to tell you what to do. Very fake company and a lot of customers complaints. The company always loses packages and you gotta deal with angry customers and managers who barely care about service. Very discriminatory company and they prefer hiring hot"females" because thats how bad the managers are thirsty.

Cons
low pay, no benefits, no futur, discriminatory managers
