Happy to move on
TELESALES SPECIALIST - SHAW RENEWAL TEAM (Current Employee) - Remote - 4 July 2023
I worked for s & p data over a period of 6 months. I have worked on their Shaw renewal project where role requires to dial out 30-40 calls in 8 hrs shift. During that time I experienced toxic culture & managers support was null when it comes to growth.
Pros
Work from Home
Cons
Toxic culture

Decent for first job
Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 29 May 2023
Is a stepping stone towards something greater. Favoritism sometimes occurs so don't get your hopes up when promotion time comes around. Overall coworkers were pretty good. Good way to get sales experience

Productive, big bonuses & incentives.
Sales Representative (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 28 March 2023
Managers are all considerate. You will be motivated to do more because of the big bonuses & incentives, if you work hard it's not impossible to get $1k+ commission & $500+ gift cards.

Easy job but management seems lost
Telesales Representative (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 1 March 2023
Overall it is an easy job, you just call customers and help them as a sales representative, renew their plans or upsell when necessary. But management have quite a lot of rules, they say to call customers just to give them the experience, then push harder and harder for agents to get sales. It can be tiring hearing "what's the reason for no sales", when the problem is the leads are bad (no promotions on the account), or just simply because customers do not pick up the call.
Pros
It's easy as a WFH job, and you do get 30 mins free paid break
Cons
when no one picks up a call, it can be a very boring day for you, cause youre on your own.

Garbage
Telesales Representative (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 23 November 2022
No work-life balance, they will gave you all the commissions on sales that you’ve made. Schedule kept on rotating. When you are asking for support TL will not answer your question and when they answer back it has no sense at all.

AVOID!! Worst company to work for.
Customer Service Specialist (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 7 November 2022
Zero Job security with horrible management. They will overwork you and not pay you for the hours worked at certain times. S&P is known for this. Management will treat you like you dont matter and they have company protocols designed to fire people anytime they like by showing some silly reasons. If you want to get rewarded for your work, then AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
Pros
Zero pros
Cons
Zero job security, Horrible disrespectful management, Not paying properly for the hours worked, Company protocols designed to fire you anytime they like (doesnt matter if you are a tenured worker), No work-life balance, Stressful

Do not work here due to work/life balance and all-day availability required
Sales Migration Specialist (Former Employee) - Remote - 19 October 2022
A typical day at work is to take outbound calls and start speaking with your script for 8 hours straight. Breaks should be on-time or you will get points deducted. They have a point system attendance policy so a minute late within working hours or regular sick/PE absence is deducted until you get enough points for termination. As a result, you need full commitment. The best part of the job is getting hourly + bonus every month and the co-workers are nice. Management should do better because even if you've used all your sick days, they will still remind you about your attendance policy as if your body knows about it so it can miraculously stop being sick. You need full-day availability due to the staffing needs of a call centre which means you cannot have a second job and your schedule is out every month so it's unpredictable when you can have your day off.

Fun & Diverse Working Environment
Commercial Customer Care Professional (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 21 September 2022
If you are looking for a workplace that is surrounded by diverse and caring colleagues than this is the place for you. I began my tenure with SP Data Digital on November 9th, 2020. I can honestly say that the management work so hard to bring success to the company, and have a genuine desire to see their agents succeed. I recommend this workplace for anyone who is looking to gather meaningful experience in the customer service industry, and to connect with so many people.
Pros
People, Working atmosphere, hours, benefits, bonus structure, diversity, management
Cons
Fast pace environment, unpaid bathroom breaks, work targets

Very unfair behaviour
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 25 August 2022
I had made a commission fir $3000.They didn't pay a single penny. Inspired if my asking so many times. They kept on deferring it fir 4 months. In the meantime all the management made it impossible for me to survive despite the fact that I was making the highest sales. The management was rude and aggressive. Eventually I left the job for my mental peace.

Easily the worst call center I've ever worked for.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 25 July 2022
They are not professional at all, there are too many professionals getting paid too much to do too little; it is literally one person's job to nitpick internal emails do nothing else. Their b2b campaigns are all hilariously ill-conceived; they sign contracts with companies without even considering the financial consequences of saddling oneself to a drowning horse. The lead lists are attrocious; they'll have you calling funeral homes and dental offices asking them if they want to BE lawn mowers.Work/life balance is nonexistent. They switch your shifts up every two weeks so it is nigh-impossible to get used to any sort of regular schedule. Nobody is accountable for their own mistakes and no steps are taken to rectify long-standing mistakes the undertrained staff make. This runs an extremely high risk of new staffers needing to clean up the messes of their coworkers. They work you like a dog, and then gaslight you when you burn out as a result. Avoid this company at all costs; your mental health will be better off for it.

Steady hour great managers or Team Leaders, I should say.
Retention Specialist (Former Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 19 July 2022
Great managers and incentive to do well for potential real bonuses at months end. The hours are guaranteed and everyone was very helpful and understanding in my experience. There's definite potential for advancement and growth in the company.

Inconsistent & Disorganized
Outbound Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Work from Home - 9 June 2022
Working at S&P on paper sounded great, I wasn't super excited about sales but the introduction was friendly and felt very much like a low pressure sales position. A typical training class runs 1-2 weeks for most sales positions, training tools are limited and usually aren't enough to effectively learn the job. My group in particular was trained for one outbound sales project right to the last day of training and then before we were about to take calls for the first time we were told we'd be calling out to do a completely different program. The training team were very cold to agents that were worried about going into a new program with no training.Work-Life Balance is actually something the company promotes as a reason to work here however most new hires will be stuck working the latest shifts possible, day shifts are rarely ever an option unless you've been there a long time. Payroll is a major problem within the company and they are aware of it, but have still not implemented any systems to improve accuracy and loss of wages and bonuses for employees. I honestly could not say a positive thing about my short time with this company. If you can work anywhere else I strongly suggest that you do.
Pros
Full-time hours
Cons
Poor Training, Payroll Errors, High Stress, Duties change day to day

Don't work here. Save your sanity and self respect.
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Ontario - 21 April 2022
Working here is a drag. They tell you there's a possibility of advancing, but that's not true. They micromanage everything that you do, and sometimes want to impose uncomfortable working conditions.
Pros
work from home
Cons
They say there is possibility or advancing, but it's not true.
