Great Place to Begin but Fast Paced
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 10 August 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI got my first experience with CS here. Team and Training Lead were really nice! Training was 2 weeks & a lot of info to take in at once. suggest longer time for training as its CS. You have to be really knowledgable of all the information. In my case, my first 2 days of calling, a cx could tell I was new to the role- which was disappointing and a learning point for me. So I highly suggest more time needed for training and maybe even testing at the end of training to make sure agents are ready. I'm grateful for my first experience!

Insights into SP Data Digital
Areas for improvement
- Sense of belonging
- General feeling of work happiness
- Energizing work tasks
Life sucking
Team Leader (Former Employee) - Trenton, ON - 15 June 2023
They fired or pushed out anyone who actually cared about the job and the people. This place went from a perfect place to work family type of atmosphere to stressful and micromanagement to the point of calling agents if they went to the bathroom for more than 5 mins. Not my ideal job.
Pros
Since wfh none
Cons
Micromanage, expect everything without anything back

Decent for first job
Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 29 May 2023
Is a stepping stone towards something greater. Favoritism sometimes occurs so don't get your hopes up when promotion time comes around. Overall coworkers were pretty good. Good way to get sales experience

Retention Agent (Former Employee) - Trenton, ON - 6 April 2023
3 year retention agent, made to carry the weight of customer disatisfaction, unrealistic management expectations and out-of -touch client reasonning on your shoulders. You can not ever do enough. Your picked apart word for word everyday, what you said what you didn't say. Your constantly fearful of bad surveys, over things you didn't do or cant fix due to company policy.. and unattainable stats. This job will wreck your mental stability and your stress anxiety levels every day. Rotating schedule every 5 weeks based on group stats not personal stats means if you bomb as a team..your banished to the the late shifts even if you personally did well. Zero family/home/work/health life balance. Can't schedule any appointments 6 weeks away. You will never be good enough nor meet their expectations leaving you constantly feeling inadequate, fearful and anxious about your job security. Oh and bonuses used to be good before tmobile bought sprint. Then they raised the bar on stats needed for bonuses and even if you met the insane 95% and up you'd maybe get 100$ so all incentives gone. Any pain points from the agents in front line about policy's, systems, thegoals or common customer complaints...ignored and fluffed over. We were never allowed to express ourselves, our collaborative grievances shushed or brushed off. No one will listen to you or acknowledge you...other than fellow coworkers I'm the same boat.

Easy job but management seems lost
Call Centre Representative (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 20 March 2023
Overall it is an easy job, you just call customers and help them as a sales representative, renew their plans or upsell when necessary. But management have quite a lot of rules, they say to call customers just to give them the experience, then push harder and harder for agents to get sales. It can be tiring hearing "what's the reason for no sales", when the problem is the leads are bad (no promotions on the account), or just simply because customers do not pick up the call.

Pros
It's easy as a WFH job, and you do get 30 mins free paid break
Cons
when no one picks up a call, it can be a very boring day for you, cause youre on your own.

Supportive Management
Costumer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 16 December 2022
I worked here in it's heyday. I miss the environment, helpful coworkers. Many projects we're placed on, you learn about some of industry. Cons...being confined to restricted assistance for customers

Garbage
Telesales Representative (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 23 November 2022
No work-life balance, they will gave you all the commissions on sales that you’ve made. Schedule kept on rotating. When you are asking for support TL will not answer your question and when they answer back it has no sense at all.

AVOID!! Worst company to work for.
Customer Service Specialist (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 7 November 2022
Zero Job security with horrible management. They will overwork you and not pay you for the hours worked at certain times. S&P is known for this. Management will treat you like you dont matter and they have company protocols designed to fire people anytime they like by showing some silly reasons. If you want to get rewarded for your work, then AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
Pros
Zero pros
Cons
Zero job security, Horrible disrespectful management, Not paying properly for the hours worked, Company protocols designed to fire you anytime they like (doesnt matter if you are a tenured worker), No work-life balance, Stressful

Fun & Diverse Working Environment
Commercial Customer Care Professional (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 21 September 2022
If you are looking for a workplace that is surrounded by diverse and caring colleagues than this is the place for you. I began my tenure with SP Data Digital on November 9th, 2020. I can honestly say that the management work so hard to bring success to the company, and have a genuine desire to see their agents succeed.I recommend this workplace for anyone who is looking to gather meaningful experience in the customer service industry, and to connect with so many people.
Pros
People, Working atmosphere, hours, benefits, bonus structure, diversity, management
Cons
Fast pace environment, unpaid bathroom breaks, work targets

Extremely disorganized and dishonest.
CAS (Current Employee) - WFH - 24 August 2022
My group of 12 people in interviews would constantly ask what the payment incentives where for work/bonuses and they refused to tell us until 7 weeks into training where they revealed the first bonuses are given 3 months out from when you start.

Steady hour great managers or Team Leaders, I should say.
Retention Specialist (Former Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 19 July 2022
Great managers and incentive to do well for potential real bonuses at months end. The hours are guaranteed and everyone was very helpful and understanding in my experience. There's definite potential for advancement and growth in the company.

It sucks
Customer Care (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 16 June 2022
Take their money for training and then quit. They don’t care for their employees. Nothing more to tell you just don’t waste your time. It’s definitely not a real career choice, just something if you’re insanely desperate and even then it’s still not a good option.

Extremely stressful with minimal training
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 11 June 2022
You would be thrown to the wolves with just a week of training. You cannot help the customers even if you want to, the management is not helpful at all. Almost everyone who joined with me quit within a month
Pros
Can’t think of any
Cons
Everything

Inconsistent & Disorganized
Outbound Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Work from Home - 9 June 2022
Working at S&P on paper sounded great, I wasn't super excited about sales but the introduction was friendly and felt very much like a low pressure sales position. A typical training class runs 1-2 weeks for most sales positions, training tools are limited and usually aren't enough to effectively learn the job. My group in particular was trained for one outbound sales project right to the last day of training and then before we were about to take calls for the first time we were told we'd be calling out to do a completely different program. The training team were very cold to agents that were worried about going into a new program with no training.Work-Life Balance is actually something the company promotes as a reason to work here however most new hires will be stuck working the latest shifts possible, day shifts are rarely ever an option unless you've been there a long time. Payroll is a major problem within the company and they are aware of it, but have still not implemented any systems to improve accuracy and loss of wages and bonuses for employees. I honestly could not say a positive thing about my short time with this company. If you can work anywhere else I strongly suggest that you do.
Pros
Full-time hours
Cons
Poor Training, Payroll Errors, High Stress, Duties change day to day

Don’t work here
Outbound Agent (Former Employee) - Ontario - 24 May 2022
This has to be the worst place I ever worked at, the pay is based on how many sales you make per hour otherwise you get sent home. Even though we were promise to get our full hourly pay and hours and Was hired for full time position. They have completely changed to you must make sales or you go home!! Crazy, cux people have bills to pay! They have literally made so much promises about advancement but you will not Advance here. The management does not listen to employee complaints and only care about making sales. Like hello what able your employees mental health. They honestly don’t care. Only work here if you want to work form home.
Pros
Work from home
Cons
You must sale or you can’t work

Don't work here. Save your sanity and self respect.
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Ontario - 21 April 2022
Working here is a drag. They tell you there's a possibility of advancing, but that's not true. They micromanage everything that you do, and sometimes want to impose uncomfortable working conditions.
Pros
work from home
Cons
They say there is possibility or advancing, but it's not true.

My impression of that company.
Call Centre Representative (Former Employee) - London - 11 April 2022
I find that this company doesn’t care and isn’t supportive for people with disabilities. I have applied many times even though I have worked for them for 3 months last year. If someone wants more training they won’t give it to the person.
Pros
Has contests for the highest sellers every month.
