Easy job but management seems lost
Telesales Representative (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 1 March 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedOverall it is an easy job, you just call customers and help them as a sales representative, renew their plans or upsell when necessary. But management have quite a lot of rules, they say to call customers just to give them the experience, then push harder and harder for agents to get sales. It can be tiring hearing "what's the reason for no sales", when the problem is the leads are bad (no promotions on the account), or just simply because customers do not pick up the call.
Pros
It's easy as a WFH job, and you do get 30 mins free paid break
Cons
when no one picks up a call, it can be a very boring day for you, cause youre on your own.

Pressure to make sales, tracking customer conversation. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Friendly and safe work environment What is a typical day like for you at the company? Morning meetings, updates, start working by receving calls throught

This is the most toxic environment I have worked. They set unrealistic targets and punish you for not meeting such targets. Zero workplace culture.Toxic

TELESALES SPECIALIST - SHAW RENEWAL TEAM (Current Employee) - Remote - 4 July 2023
I worked for s & p data over a period of 6 months. I have worked on their Shaw renewal project where role requires to dial out 30-40 calls in 8 hrs shift. During that time I experienced toxic culture & managers support was null when it comes to growth.
Pros
Work from Home
Cons
Toxic culture

Good management
Telesales Representative (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 9 December 2022
I liked the trainers and the management does a good job at helping you. They respond to you quick and try to better your performance. It can be a little unrealistic sometimes so you need to have a good mindset in order to meet the goals

Garbage
Telesales Representative (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 23 November 2022
No work-life balance, they will gave you all the commissions on sales that you’ve made. Schedule kept on rotating. When you are asking for support TL will not answer your question and when they answer back it has no sense at all.

Shady Practices And Favouritsm
Telesales Representative (Former Employee) - Trenton, ON - 13 July 2021
Was coached to sell shady and then when you are caught doing what they told you to do they tell you that they didn’t teach you to do it that way. Felt like I was selling a piece of my soul working there. Also rules don’t apply if you can make sales happen. Truly burned me out working there I would only recommend if desperate for work and to leave as soon as possible.

Productive and High energy work place
Telesales Representative (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 19 March 2021
In just a few months, I had already gained significant skills in training, management, communication, and public speaking that will follow me throughout my life. You are given opportunities to network with high-level employees of Fortune 500 companies, sometimes even including the CEO. Travel, seminars, conventions all are a light-hearted way to help everyone improve together.
Pros
Good bonuses per sale

Phone Sales (Current Employee) - Trenton, Ontario - 4 November 2020
It's a call centre. Plain and simple. Great place to start a career or to wind down from one. Very inclusive culture. People of all races, religions, etc. You'll work with people at the beginning of their career all the way to people at the end of their career.

Rogers Inbound Telesales Representative (Former Employee) - Hamilton, ON - 3 June 2020
S&P data is not bad if you are looking for a quick job until you find something that pays better, but its better than labour jobs and you could also meet new people.
Pros

Cons

sale representive, inbound sales agent
Phone Sales Agent (Former Employee) - Trenton, ON - 5 May 2020
Working at S&P Data was a new experience for me, I had never worked at a call center before I was used to working in a fast paced environment that including physical work. They do pay great but the job was simply too stressful for myself, not enough French employees but overall I had a great experience!

A great place to work!
Sprint Telesales Representative (Former Employee) - Hamilton, ON - 19 October 2019
I would recommend this job to my friends who need a solid opportunity. If you take it seriously and you're present the bonuses are awesome. Like every job it has it's pros and cons but if you're patient, positive and willing to learn it pays off!
