Csr
CSR - Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 27 April 2023
I originally was hired for inbound CSR, they switched a few of my co workers to a different position altogether that was inbound calling that required you to do 80 outbound calls a day very much like telemarketing calling which a lot of clients were very annoyed, not only calling but needing to send clients two emails a day plus wanting to call them twice a day everyday. Needless to say they make up some excuse that I was not doing the dials a day and let me go after 6 months because I had to call in sick due to medial emergency. They are very unorganized and unprofessional I wouldn’t advice a job here

Easy job but management seems lost
Call Centre Representative (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 20 March 2023
Overall it is an easy job, you just call customers and help them as a sales representative, renew their plans or upsell when necessary. But management have quite a lot of rules, they say to call customers just to give them the experience, then push harder and harder for agents to get sales. It can be tiring hearing "what's the reason for no sales", when the problem is the leads are bad (no promotions on the account), or just simply because customers do not pick up the call.

AVOID!! Worst company to work for.
Customer Service Specialist (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 7 November 2022
Zero Job security with horrible management. They will overwork you and not pay you for the hours worked at certain times. S&P is known for this. Management will treat you like you dont matter and they have company protocols designed to fire people anytime they like by showing some silly reasons. If you want to get rewarded for your work, then AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
Pros
Zero pros
Cons
Zero job security, Horrible disrespectful management, Not paying properly for the hours worked, Company protocols designed to fire you anytime they like (doesnt matter if you are a tenured worker), No work-life balance, Stressful

Fun & Diverse Working Environment
Commercial Customer Care Professional (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 21 September 2022
If you are looking for a workplace that is surrounded by diverse and caring colleagues than this is the place for you. I began my tenure with SP Data Digital on November 9th, 2020. I can honestly say that the management work so hard to bring success to the company, and have a genuine desire to see their agents succeed. I recommend this workplace for anyone who is looking to gather meaningful experience in the customer service industry, and to connect with so many people.
Pros
People, Working atmosphere, hours, benefits, bonus structure, diversity, management
Cons
Fast pace environment, unpaid bathroom breaks, work targets

Fine if you’re desperate
Commercial Customer Care Agent (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 15 May 2022
Very poor workplace culture. Constant management infighting with no direction. HR is hard to speak too. Will try to cast blame elsewhere. Interviewer made lots of promises they couldn’t keep

Horrible experience.
Customer Care Specialist (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 19 April 2022
The management doesn’t care and you’re not properly trained to start off. You go into it with so much stress and no time to step away and have a moment for yourself. It’s all together a bad experience working there.

S&p
Customer Care Representative (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 5 April 2022
Office in of itself was good, the higher ups for the campaign were very rude, all they care about is the static’s of the company and not you as a individual. Threatening your job every chance they have. They Do Not offer any sort of accommodations, overall my personal team leads were great, but everything else was not worth the stress they applied to you, this job was mentally exhausting and they will bully and humiliate you. Helping customers was amazing, even when you would get angry and rude customers, it was easy to handle, but the people above management, they are what made me quit.

Good for independent workers
Retention Specialist (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 14 February 2022
It’s only hard because of the fast paced environment and waiting for managerial approval to complete the work you need to do. Then they get mad because of long calls because your waiting for their approval.

Over promised under delivered
Retention (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 16 November 2021
Bad management (some were alright), long hours and no bonuses were given to those that earned them. Floor managers would leave is hanging as we were trying to help customers. Not exactly a great and nurturing environment. Only allowed 5 minutes per day to go to the bathroom!
Pros
Close to home
Cons
Too many to list

Customer service representative
Customer Service Associate (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 6 September 2021
They don't properly train you for the job and you do not have the support from management to properly do your job. You are constantly put down when trying to do your job and you have to wait long periods of time to get approval for anything and managa holds it against you. You do not have any support from management when dealing with customers who curse at you while trying to help them. If management don't want you there they do everything possible to force you to quit and you constantly work knowing you can be fired at any time. Also you are constantly scheduled to work before and after public transit is not operating. You are expected to be cursed at by customers.
Pros
Full time
Cons
Poor management and work environment

Meh
Team Leader/Supervisor (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 17 June 2021
It was okay, difficult at the start as all the customers are angry, but a decent Summer Job. Aside from the angry customers it ain't bad, and when I left they were making solid improvements to the management style. It can be cool as some customers are a joy to talk too, and I know one girl who met their partner over the phone, as an aside this is shunned upon, but worth detailing.
Pros
Pay
Cons
Illogical Customers

Nice people
Phone Operator (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 29 March 2021
I went through the training and i loved the people i trained with. Unfortunately the training program was awful. They throw people to the wolves ready or not. i was so disappointed because i truly wanted to continue working with S&P. (i resigned) I wish this company nothing but the best but please do a better job training your employees. I guarantee if you train better the turn over will be much better.
Pros
nice people
Cons
