SMI is not a great place to work or grow. It takes up to a year to become a full time associate. Once you have achieved full time status your pay as a shop floor associate is little better than minimum wage and even if you grow within the company the wages are not industry standard. If you want to live in poverty SMI should be your employer of choice.

Get rid of your pantyhoes test for checking parts with nicks or gouges in them. Its a joke. Peoples throats should not be compared to pantyhoes.
Who ever came up with this “quality check” should be slapped and walked out the door

Improve pay, improve management, hire qualified team leads and supervisors with people skills. Not ones that your assembly line workers have to train.

Favoritism watching Co workers take advantage of they're "friendship" with with team leads and supervisors working hard just to see 90 percent of the people just screwing around watching YouTube on they're phones while operating a machine and no one gets a talking to about it people faking injuries leaving with paramedics only to come in the next day with they're hair done up watching favoritism between 2 departments they cherish the people that fold boxes and don't care about the people that have to operate 1 machine or 3 barely get a break while doing it and can't forget about QA department no one is on the same page a part is okay one day bad the next day with the exact same defect the only good part about QA is they're team leader on day shift

Fire the only people that seems to have job security. Upper management. And hire people with a head on there shoulders. They’re trying to build a sky scraper on a dirt foundation

Full time to start, 10 days vacation, however 4 days are held to use for the company shut down in july....so starting january 1, your 10 days becomes 6
