A typical workplace involved phoning potential sponsors for a fundraising golf tournament, updating information on Excel, typing solicitation letters, answering emails and collaborating with other employees on a fundraising project. I learned to work with others on a project. Management was friendly. The workplace culture created a relaxed and collaborative environment. The hardest part of the job was phoning for sponsors. Successfully getting and meeting sponsors was the most enjoyable part of the job.

"Interesting" place to work

As much of the management are ex-employees of the provincial government, the organization is run a similar top down manner.Fair amount of turnover in some positions - people just "disappear" with no explanation or communication and never heard from again.

Toxic environment to work in, toxic and venomous jealousy prevailing!

This place is completely government funded and there is little accountability. They meet minimum govts requirements and leadership operates at an emotional level!

great place to work, nice co workers. they gave us free workshops as well. the hardest thing about this job is the time restrictions. I learned alot during workshops and on the job related to admin work

Review email, telephone, staff, review workplan(s), Justice/ Corrections files, Court dates, monitor progress with Diversions with Extra judicial Sanctions. I have learned to listen n hear what staff are saying, what clients are saying,. The difficult part of being a manager is staffing and their personal issues however, a s a experienced mental health counsellor and work ethic advocate, the staff always conform to suggestions. All of my work has been enjoyable due to my need to learn and curiosity.
