Overseeing the education of elementary students in a small private school.
Head of School (Current Employee) –  New London, CT20 June 2015
A typical day at work included opening the school, welcoming the students and staff. Classroom instruction as scheduled, administration duties as required. I acquired strong management and leadership skills. My responsibilities included the evaluation, development and recruitment of faculty and staff, fiscal management, student discipline, community relations, student recruitment, curriculum coordination and professional development. I had the privilege to lead exceptional, hard working staff. My success as Head of School was directly associated with the staff's dedication and willingness to work together. The most difficult part of the job was navigating the politics involving those who were not on staff. The most enjoyable part of the job was teaching and nurturing students, and being able to share my days with amazing staff.
