Account Manager (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON15 May 2018
A lot of fluff and luck of the draw involved in this company. Great starting point but no longevity. Average tenure at the company was no more than 2-3 years.

More Work than it's worth
Senior Account Manager (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON24 April 2018
Typical day at the office involves starting to make dials to existing and potential clients at 8 am. You are expected to make roughly 50-150 calls per day, send out quotes, check order statuses, and follow up with distribution should any issues arise.

Essentially, you are running your own business for the company with minimal support. It was incredibly stressful and more work and effort than the minimal salary was worth.

Helpdesk Technical Engineer (Current Employee) –  Oakville, ON26 January 2018
Softchoice is a great company to work for from the management to the culture to the belief system.
I have learned a lot working at Softhoice and given the opportunity to take on tasks beyond my job duties.
The office is dog friendly.
The culture is diverse and awesome
The hardest part of the job is trying not to love the company. lol
Nothing is hard about my job however I encounter challenges often which makes my job an excellent learning opportunity.
Pros
Free Lunches, Dog Friendly, Recognition, Benefits, and Tuition Reimbursement

Sweat shop - stay away
Manager (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON4 December 2017
Extremely HIGH TURNOVER in staffing.

Very poor work-life balance.

Don't be 5 minutes late for work or you need to call your Supervisor.

Expect to work month end / quarter end to midnight; not disclosed in interview.

Pay premium for Parking.
Expect to pay extra $$$ to support their Charity.
Pros
Bring your Dog to work if they pass the interview
Cons
Rude Management

Great place to start a career, not as good for mature workforce
HPE Server/Storage/Networking Technical Architect (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON6 November 2017
The company has a good go-to-market strategy for Microsoft and Cisco. Non-core vendors, including HPE must compete for mindshare with sales representatives. The organization is trying to move to a best-of-breed solution selling model, but still operate primarily on a transaction basis.
Pros
Good company culture
Cons
Lack of focus for non-core vendors

NA (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON25 September 2017
An organization that lacks leadership or direction. A terrible corporate culture but so many people have never worked anywhere else to know the difference.

BUYER: PURCHASING (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON9 September 2017
Softchoice is starting to do better than it did a couple of years ago. But their salary and wages are still the lowest in the market. Work Life balance is satisfactory but they have a great Charity Organization.

Ops (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON24 August 2017
The people and openness make the company great. The downside is the divide between Ops vs Sales and the salary range. You can bring your pets to work and work from home.

Team Leader (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON14 August 2017
It was a very easy place to work, wish I could have stayed there longer but unfortunately I was only a part time employee due to school. Worked 3 times a week during the evenings so I can't say much about the place.

Great Company...
Sr. Territory Sales Representative Canada East (Former Employee) –  Montréal, QC15 May 2017
Amazing work/life balance.
The staff and support are wonderful.
The upper management needs to listen more to the support as they have a pulse that the execs dont see.
I would love to work for them again!

Don't believe the hype.
Territory Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON8 May 2017
The sales program is an overglorified IT equivalent to automobile sales.

This company knows no loyalty to its staff.

No work-life balance.

Nepotism is rampant.

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON18 April 2017
If you are content with coming in and just doing your job, you wont make it far and will soon dislike your job. However,Go above and beyond, develop your own brand, contribute your ideas and chances are you will get a raise and promotion very quickly.

Working in the KTSC
Support Engineer (Current Employee) –  Oakville, ON26 March 2017
Stressful, non-rewarding, barely any training, no clear career path options, Softchoice is more concerned to sell sell sell than to actually take the time to look at the bigger picture of support.

Pay scales are all over the place since the company is not looking for quality engineers but just another head count before more CSAT issues arise.

Very poor management: lacking of vision and guidance (more concerned with putting out fires than with growth).

What was once a very fun and exciting work environment in KTSC, is now a "how worse can it get ?" type of place.

I really hope that they get their act together before people start loosing their jobs due to a lack of customer satisfaction +business loss.
