Chewed Up, Spit Out
Front Desk Receptionist (Former Employee) - Milwaukie, OR - 8 February 2021
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedMoney is the motivator here. It has decent compensation but the employee turnover is insane by either excessive and unreasonable firing or employees quitting due to lack of support. There are nice folks at Smiles, but they bleed their staff dry and wring them out if they can't match a goal that's well outside their means. There's definitely a culture of inclusion, no active discrimination, but there is a concern often for stability and overturn of doctors in single doctor offices. If they want you gone, you're gone. Lack of training and clear direction with often broken tools to fix it, or no solution at all. The building is old, rundown, and has very large issues structurally and technically.
Pros
Compensation, immediate co-workers
Cons
Company morals, unreasonable location goals, money only oriented, pushing unnecessary treatment

very fast paced and enjoyable place to work
Front of House Receptionist (Current Employee) - ocs - 22 January 2020
This is a very busy place to work. Has a very large team with good group of staff to work with.
City centre location makes it very accessable for staff and patients alike.

Management is fake and only care about money in their pockets!!
Front Desk Receptionist (Current Employee) - Anonymous - 9 January 2020
The owner tries to bribe production with t-shirts and points program. Only care about meeting unrealistic goals and should care more about patient standard of care and not their pocket books. Will not furnish employees with the necessary tools needed to give high standard patient care. Very poor communication between management. I have noticed many GOOD employees get let go within the company for no apparent reasons. Staff members feel like if they look the wrong way they will get let go. Not a healthy environment to work in each day. I can't wait to see what comes of Smiles next. Not a place to work. Looking onward

Revolving Door
Front Desk Receptionist (Former Employee) - Salem, OR - 29 October 2019
New Dentist Driven on Production Goals in 300,000 in on month . Burning out Dental Assistant and Front staff if you can not keep up with the high stress and pushing treatment that is far fetched.. Drs who diagnose High cost treatment vs, actual findings. If you don’t push your self to no end and coming in early and staying late almost every night and a staff who can care less about some point system to buy the companies own merchandise.. don’t be blind by the smoke in the mirror . LOOK FOR A DIFFERENT JOB ..
Pros
Nothing at All
Cons
Short lunches, constantly new hires, lack of support and team work

This place have a huge turnover due to overwork, no lunch break, never give any raise, and too much drama. Management has no idea what they are doing.
