Disorganized and dishonesty
Hygiene Coordinator (Former Employee) - Salem, OR - 26 July 2021
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedExpectations are far too high and unrealistic. Extremely unorganized. Dishonesty between employees and management. I was consistently asked to perform job duties outside of what i was hired to do and not paid to do.

Avoid
Front office (Former Employee) - Salem, OR - 15 February 2022
The people in charge are selfish, rude and purposely do all they can to treat you negatively. No positive feed back and usually just ignore you when you need company questions answered. Save yourself some time and go elsewhere. Unless you enjoy high turn over rates, being unable to use your pto... are goals being obtainable, and then pushed out so you can't make them.. if you want to just be a work horse and not a part of something, this is the place for you. office level team members are usually alright.. Corp = avoid.

Run!!! Horrible Company
Dental Assistant (Former Employee) - Salem, OR - 2 July 2020
Not a good working environment. Unethical. Poor communication. Over-worked and under paid. They don’t care about the employee, only production. RUN AWAY

Revolving Door
Front Desk Receptionist (Former Employee) - Salem, OR - 29 October 2019
New Dentist Driven on Production Goals in 300,000 in on month . Burning out Dental Assistant and Front staff if you can not keep up with the high stress and pushing treatment that is far fetched.. Drs who diagnose High cost treatment vs, actual findings. If you don’t push your self to no end and coming in early and staying late almost every night and a staff who can care less about some point system to buy the companies own merchandise.. don’t be blind by the smoke in the mirror . LOOK FOR A DIFFERENT JOB ..
Pros
Nothing at All
Cons
Short lunches, constantly new hires, lack of support and team work

This place have a huge turnover due to overwork, no lunch break, never give any raise, and too much drama. Management has no idea what they are doing.

Smiles could be a great company they just have very small ideas.
Office Manager and Orthodontic Consultant (Current Employee) - Tumwater, Aberdeen, Longview, Salem and Pasco - 13 September 2016
I would travel with the Orthodontist, manage the daily schedule, schedule exams, train staff in billing and any emergency that would arise.
Smiles dental is general dentistry, management could not get a handle that Specialty is different than general, this caused great difficulties. I have worked Specialty, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Endodontics and Oral Surgery, these are dental Specialties, Smiles tried to incorporate them into their culture without realizing these are very different than General Dentistry.
Pros
staff
Cons
management
