Its flexible
Courier / Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Chestermere, AB - 21 July 2022
Great place to earn extra cash. Flexible job but only great as a side gig. Setting your schedule from 11am to 830pm is great way to start. Nothing is really open after 9pm.

a typical day at work is boring
Operations Manager (Current Employee) - Québec City, QC - 15 July 2022
The new management has turned this place into a call centre where you are expected to work all around the clock with less to no human regard for work life balance

Mobile Developer (Current Employee) - Calgary, AB - 23 June 2022
Communication is key when working SKIP. There is room for growth and personal development and managers are generally interested in seeing you become better and grow at your job.

It’s okay
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 8 June 2022
It’s very busy due to the nature of the job as you will have a lot of customers chatting in at a time for your assistance, it becomes overwhelming at the beginning but you will get used to it
Pros
work from home
Cons
long hours, busy all the time

Flexible Job
Independent Contractor (Current Employee) - Victoria, BC - 4 June 2022
This job is great for those who aren't able to work regular hours. You pick your own shifts, and can logout early - or work later if there are overflow or regular shifts available. Do not try to count on making a specific amount of $. It varies by shift... Sometimes drastically.
Pros
Flexible
Cons
Inconsistent earnings

Not even close to a living wage
Skip the Dishes Food Courier (Current Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 2 June 2022
If it's very busy .non stop you might make enough to fill your gas tank. Lately it's not been busy. Avoid unless it's just a side gig for extra dough. Very easy and set your own hours be your own boss. . Won't make enough to maintain a vehicle.

Jobs at SkipTheDishes
This job was great at first. But has declined in the last three years do to the economy
Courier Driver (Current Employee) - Fort St. John, BC - 1 June 2022
I was happy for the first two years working at Skip The Dishes. I was fairly busy, It kept me active and I made decent money. However, this year the job has been steadily declining. It is not that it is not a good company. It is and you have so much freedom, but, with the increase in fuel prices everything has followed and all prices and interest rates are up across the board. So needless to say the first thing that people will cut from there household expenses is delivery. It is not a necessity and this job has slowed considerably.
Pros
Lots of freedom with work schedule, Cherry pick shifts, and work when you want.
Cons
Unless you drive an electric vehicle, it is hard to make any money now.

Fun
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Peterborough, ON and edmonton - 26 May 2022
I enjoy working here, you get make your own hours and have no boss. You don't have to deal with to many people so it's nice and quit. Who wouldn't like to listen to musicians and driving around while working

Casual and freedom to make own schedule
Courier (Current Employee) - Kelowna, BC - 18 May 2022
The app is a bit glitchy and new home developments are often not on Google maps so it can be time consuming making certain deliveries. Also, the help line is slow and often sends back form letters so it is very impersonal

Gotta put in the work
Food Courier (Former Employee) - Hamilton, ON - 10 May 2022
A flexible way of making money. But gotta put in the work and drive long hours to make decent money. Better if you deliver with a gas-efficient car.

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Work from Home - 6 May 2022
Just annoying to deal with some customers but wasn’t very hard work, most interactions are pretty straightforward just copy paste but yes occasionally can be frustrating

Very easy job with flexible schedule.
Customer care specialist (Former Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 2 May 2022
It was overall a pretty good company to work for. No place for advancement though and the pay was not very good and only increased by 45 cents in the 2 1/2 years I was working there. Management is not very good either. Very easy job to do, work life balance is great and very flexible schedule

Overall better than other call center jobs
Operations Specialist (Current Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 26 April 2022
I worked for 3 different call center jobs and this one is by far more cultured and less stressful job than others that i worked for. Work from home is a comfort.

Have to love driving!
Independent Courier (Former Employee) - Langley, BC - 21 April 2022
Good communication with the Skip people no matter the hour. Needed a different vehicle. You are an independent courier. Need to accept 80% of deliveries offered. GPS is 95% correct. So you will need to double check the directions. I enjoyed the driving. Make sure you deliver to the person who ordered the food and not the building. Customers are happy if you admit you are lost and ask them for directions before the food is too cold.
Pros
Driving, friendly customers
Cons
Long hours, driving, getting lost, snow on the back streets!
