It’s okay

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
It’s very busy due to the nature of the job as you will have a lot of customers chatting in at a time for your assistance, it becomes overwhelming at the beginning but you will get used to it

Pros

work from home

Cons

long hours, busy all the time

Winnipeg

One of the worst organization that I worked for. The most horrible team is the people or HR team existing over there as they don’t respond any of your request and continuously delayed in responses. They even missed out your wages increments and won’t fix it sooner than 7 months. Favouritism, bad management, micro management you name it, it is there. So if you want to experience the worst and toxic corporate life only then you should work in this company.

Pros

Work from home

Cons

Everything

Productive and fun place to work

Skip is always trying to satisfy their customers, thats why its a great company. Management should just watch out for tribal favourism. All together, its s company that values the staff ,

Super easy, but needing to pay for your own gas is becoming too much

The job is incredibly easy and flexible, it's just getting too hard to get any money out of it. For a side job it's great, but doing it full time just isn't worth it anymore, car maintenance and gas are just too expensive.

Worse place- full of favouritism

They will hire you, for 9 months they will not provide you a Team Lead. No evaluation on your progress. You won’t even have a hint what their QA is or KPI’s are, then out of the blue they will cut your hours and fire you. Most stressful company I have worked with. They won’t even raise your pay. But they will surely raise your work load every month. They will make you work you extra. Tasks are given on basis of favouritism. Easy tasks are always given to favourites and if you complain about it nobody means NOBODY cares. In the end- don’t work for them. They are leeches of corporate society. They won’t pay their employees and their couriers. They take cuts on everything they can.

Great Place to work

The job was lots of fun and a lot of team collaboration. I only left because I was just not passionate enough about that particular industry and changed my career path. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new and modern experience!

Very bad management

Easy work but stressful, the management has 0 management skill which is very bad in the team. The team leads only care about their own rate, they do not reply your message and rarely help you with things. They keep push you to go work but not actually do their own job.Hardly get rise if you are not the same last name or the color. Not recommend to the people who want to work in this company for long term.

Very good opportunity for beginners

Very good opportunity for beginners and students. You could work on your own schedule . Call center is there to support you all the time.If you have a car that is good on fuel and you are willing to work full time with skip, you will never look for another job.Easy and no rush job that pays you well.

Pros

Flexible schedule

Cons

Still trying to find out some Cons..

Decent job to get some experience, but not something you can stick with for a long time.

Good as a first job students get. Schedule flexibility, part time hours and work from home. Repetitive work, gets boring at some point as it lacks a personal touch. Robotic methods get your QA scores higher. Easy money and decent bonuses and benefits. Little growth but again, it gets boring.

Good company 👍

Great place to work, just the salary could be better. Also there is a less flexibility with scheduling since they publish schedule at least a month ahead

Very easy job with flexible schedule.

It was overall a pretty good company to work for. No place for advancement though and the pay was not very good and only increased by 45 cents in the 2 1/2 years I was working there. Management is not very good either. Very easy job to do, work life balance is great and very flexible schedule

Overall better than other call center jobs

I worked for 3 different call center jobs and this one is by far more cultured and less stressful job than others that i worked for. Work from home is a comfort.

Self control over schedule and potential earnings

Set your own availability and desired area(s) to work in order to receive scheduled shifts accordingly, with the ability to pick up extra shifts as you please. While on shift you get matched to orders based on location. Total earnings and distance to be driven is displayed on the order, you may accept or deny but keeping your acceptance rate up ensures you are matched to more orders. To make good money it needs to be busy, so learning your cities peak days, times and locations is important. Overall a decent way to make some money either on the side or full time if you choose. Although vehicle fuel efficiency and potential repairs should be considered.

Pros

Flexible schedule, no management to report to

Cons

Minimum pay per order could be higher, Sometimes the expected distance to drive is too far and out of your designated area

Excellent company

Skip is a great place to work.I started as a menu programmer and throughout this time I have learned a lot of things.Even though we are working from home.

Pros

Working from home

terrible driver customer service.

If the customer service cannot help u they just end the chat without providing any name. Every time they don't wanna help they just keep arguing and there is no oversight of management. Nobody gets in trouble for providing terrible customer service. And with the gas prices going up this is the last thing you wanna do. The people who order food from them. Think about how they are behaving with the drivers.

You have the benfit of being an owner operator and making a work life balance when you can get the shifts and area you wa t to work in.

Five year history and seeing changes made that have a negative impact on drivers, drive times, communicationand customer/quality of service.Drivers dressed in dirty clothes carrying dirty and ripped bags.If you have high standards know that you will not be recognized for them.

Pros

Writing off vehicle, repairs at tax time, work as long as you chose any given day

Cons

They have lost the human conection, they emphasize you are an independent contractor, but your income is controlled when you drop below 80% complience, Even when you are choosing your own personal safety over accepting an order.

Not a fun place sometimes

SKIP IS NOT GOOD BUT ALSO GOOD FOR A START!In the Resto dept we speak to customers Restaurants and create communication for couriers as well,Skip is stressful and doesn’t pay enough !!

Cons

Fast paced and full of opportunity

It is stressful at the beginning but if you are hard-working, you get up fast, its full of opportunities. Things changed all the time so it is hard to keep up with but as long as you focus, you can find the opportunity to growth

If you like less than minimum wage most days!

This is not worth it for anyone looking to make a living wage.. Only do it if you like begging for change. Oh and the app is constantly "acting up" so you can go for an hour without a delivery.

Pros

You are your own boss

Cons

Usually don't make a living wage after fuel, insurance, etc. and the customer service is garbage

Very fast paced

Easy to grow in the company but they treat their staffs not nicely. The benefits are okay but l believe they can do better. Management is okay but they can do better also
