Fun and easy work, getting to discover new restaurants and meeting some really great people
Courier Driver (Current Employee) - Barrie, ON - 24 September 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Making people happy. Everyone loves food and seeing customers smile when they see me is very fulfilling What is the most stressful part about working at the company? There really isn’t any stress. I would have to say doing the dinner rush and fighting the traffic around the city is about the only thing that can get stressful What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Inclusive, and fun. You are your own boss so what could be better than that? What is a typical day like for you at the company? Open the app, tap and GO! Easy !

Would not recommend
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 14 September 2023
Great if you want an easy casual job but if you are looking to advance your career, this is not the job for that. Their quality assurance is really poor and is a big waste of the company's money.

Too many drivers
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 11 September 2023
They’ve hired too many drivers, lots of waiting around, often costs money to work.. they give you your schedule based on what they need, but since they hire too many drivers most shifts are 3 or 4 hours only .. only good as a small extra income.. don’t waste your time !

Sometimes it's just a waste of time
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Ontario - 11 September 2023
Skip is great if you just need to make a few extra bucks, but its not worth your time to rely on this to pay bills and such. It used to be a lot more flexible in terms of shifts and the pay keeps getting worse. It is really only worth your time if you are able to make at least $60 in a 3 hour shift. Otherwise, you are just burning your own gas for the good of their company.
Pros
Sign out any time
Cons
You might not get any orders

Decent place to work.
Senior Logistics Specialist (Former Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 11 September 2023
Be prepared for a lot of the same tasks, day in and day out. The pay is decent, but not earth shattering. You do get a good benefit package, but there are a ton of strings attached.
Pros
N/a
Cons
Too Repetitive, Not enough chances to ascend.

Alright Company
Team Lead (Former Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 8 September 2023
Depending on your manager you will be on a high growth or very slow growth trajectory. If you are on high growth, you will learn a lot in a short period of time. Some people have gotten complacent. Allows you to work from home and wages are decent, extended health benefits are good and does RRSP matching. Overall not bad, as long as you are not involved in politics of the departments.

Awful Service - Do Uber
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 7 September 2023
I signed up as a driver in 2018. Did it for a couple years. Then got emailed political garbage from them. So I left for uber. Just tried to come back to them but got HORRIBLE service from their operation team. They don't care about drivers. Plus it's shifts. Uber you sign in and out whenever you want. Door dash pays less than both but way better customer service from uber and dash. So done with skip driving and ordering.
Pros
None.
Cons
Shifts. Politics. Bad service.

Don’t bother. Waste of time
Delivery Driver (Full time) (Current Employee) - Westbank, BC - 1 September 2023
No hourly wage. You make what you deliver. Pay out each day but takes up to 15 days for card to be on file. Think you get that fuel discount? Think again. You run your car and phone. You are paid what you make through how many order you deliver.
Pros
Can quit anytime
Cons
No hourly wage on top

Hardly worth it anymore
Food Courier (Former Employee) - Calgary, AB - 27 August 2023
Initially it was a good option to get additional income, but now, gas prices and maintenance costs make it hardly worth it to be driving around for ungrateful customers that hardly tip. Mileage payment is just not enough and you don't get paid for round trips which makes it hard to accept orders. This affects your acceptance rate and with it the amount of orders you are able to complete, and if you get below the 80% acceptance rate, the payment goes down. They should also be more specific on what customers complain about when you receive a poor rating as sometimes the problem relies when you get more than one order to deliver, the customer might get upset because their food took too long to get delivered, but the app sends you to deliver another order first, which is completely outside of the couriers control
Pros
Flexible hours
Cons
Not enough orders or small orders that do not tip well, high mileage and small pay per mile

Job is DANGEROUS
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Prince Albert, SK - 23 August 2023
Not Safe for me being Deaf to work. All guys (panhandlers) threatening to break my vehicle and slashed my tire. Police not going to arrests that panhandlers anywhere. Few houses turn lights off at the night when I dropped food off. They did not clean the snow of the walkside. Not happy with very limited orders numbers on long hours.

Good pay
Driver (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 15 August 2023
Decent pay; better than DoorDash or UberEats. Minimum pay per delivery is very beneficial but order level is bit less. Would advise SkipTheDishes to increase order volume.

Fun place to earn a little extra cash, just don't treat it as a main source of emoloyment
SKIP THE DISHES DELIVERY DRIVER (Former Employee) - Surrey, BC - 14 August 2023
Interview and company was not local, so was a bit difficult to explain why when they send you a trip and instructiins and lications and it takes 45 minutes to complete a trip. Lots of fake calls or hard to find addresses. Most did not tip.
Pros
Freedom to take or refuse jobs, days of work.
Cons
Have to have certain amount of cash and gas each shift, sometimes didn't go anywhere for a whole shift.
