You click the trash button if you need to cancel less than 48 hours notice. If it’s more than 48 hours notice, you can simply cancel.
Here’s the truth. You’re an independent contractor. You literally control your shifts and hours. They might be able to assign you lower reliability scores, (and this might prevent you from being scheduled) but you’re free to pick up as many shifts as you want/can. They won’t fire you for cancelling last minute. I’ve done it plenty of times (sickness, weather, schedule changes, etc). I am my own boss and I’m going to work when it’s convievent for me. This is how Skip works.
Only if 48 hours before your shift - otherwise you have to call
You can cancel your shift outside of 48 hours on the app by just clicking the trash can to the left on your current shifts. If it's within 48 hours, you're going to need a valid reason or it affects your reliability score. I've cancelled 2 shifts within the 48 hours because I was really sick (ended up not working for 10 days) and I've also cancelled within hours of my shift because of weather.
If you cancel more than two times they will fire you.
You can only cancel with 48 hours or they will fire you
You can't. You either call them or email them.
You click the x button beside the shift and you can either call or message them in chat. But they want it 2 days in advance or they put a negative review on your profile and you get less shifts the next time they schedule you. But not an issue as they always have plenty of shifts you can pick up! I usually get scheduled for 25 hours a week but i pick up shift which add up to 60 ish hours sometimes.
