Reviews about Pay & benefits for Captain at Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts
Job work-life balance
Fun and challenging place
Service Leader - Captain (Former Employee) - P06 - 13 April 2015
Working in the hotel industry is so much fun as long as you love your work, everyday you get to do the duties and responsibilities like opening the restaurant, set up the tables and chairs, polishing the glasses and cutliries in short doing the mis en place and checking the reservation especially those who have request before the operation starts. I learned to used my initiative and common sense especially your sense of urgency to be able to understand what field you are into. The hotel itself gives us the proper benefits that we need for us to be more productive and listening to our concerns and our suggestions for the benefit of the entire operation. You encounter different people it depends on you on how you mingle and and adjust for you to achieved your goal. You tend to experience complaints but you got the chance to solve and learn from it. It's enjoyable because you meet high profiled people and learn something from them.
accomodations are good, one free meal during duty, night differential
overtime or you get the chance to ask to come early and out late
