Training is in person, paid, and is 8 hours for a week. You must pass a test in order to be hired.
Once hired, depending on the location we started with 25 hours and sometimes 30 hours and then in the winter months got reduced down to 15 and sometimes 5 hours a week. The hours really are not stable- the workers who are already past probation/unionized get hours first. The new part time workers split up the remaining hours that are available.
