Not a bad place
If you like being on the phone all day it’s a great job for you. Pay is great and benefits as well! Always job openings available and room for raises.

Don’t Work Here!
Company does not care about staff. If they don’t like you for whatever reason they will manufacture facts to get rid of you! You are micromanaged yet expected to give up breaks and lunches to help with their constant booking errors.

Okay
Nothing great about working here, pay is not worth the stress and daily risks that you're putting yourself through as an examiner with new or in experienced drivers.

Pembroke is toxic
Was hired PT min 24hrs per week, they drop you week to week 9hrs sometimes. Management was poor. Playing staff against one another very toxic place. I worked and qualified for my benefits never got them asked management over 8 months all I heard was “I’ll look into that” great pay if hours are with it otherwise it’s worse than min wage .. my location pembroke was horrible!!

HORRIBLE stay away from Serco!
This company is a sinking ship, they are under a contract which is up in 2023 and they will not get the contract from the ministry again. Serco is poorly run by a boys club of lazy managers and higher ups. There’s a huge disconnect between what really goes on in a drive test office and the regional/upper management. What’s expected of each employee is insane, and it’s constant high stress. You’re just expected to deal with it, and if you don’t they just fire and hire. There is no respect for the amount of work one does there, all that counts is numbers numbers numbers. Error rates is all you’ll hear about, the pay does not reflect the amount of work and risk you endure there. You’re constantly audited and monitored it’s a terribly stressful non motivating environment. Stay away!

Interview questions

In my previous work experience prior to becoming part of Serco, how will I use my skills in serving the new job that I applied for?

Shared on 29 March 2019

Didn’t really ask a lot of questions only how to handle people who don’t speak the same language or conflict with people. Lots of scenario questions.
