You are almost paying them to work for them. If you don't care about making any money for your efforts and just want outings then go ahead.
You might as well just volunteer directly to a non profit seniors organization instead of working for them. You end up working for less than minimum wage once you deduct your gas travelling to and from clients.
Good humanitarian feeling helping the elderly.
You are working almost for free, minimum wage pay, no benefits etc.

Communication between staff and employees is non-existent. They need to be up to date on technological advances and keep improving. Benefits should be available.
Client care services are not Spectrums (Seniors For Seniors parent company) priority but rather private fee for service is their only concern and places both staff and clients at risk doing so. Great Canadian service brings shame to the privatization of home care in this province. Training is substandard and not paid.
I have worked with this company for 3 years and as of September 2018 and January 2019, both of my clients passed away and not been given work assignments. I saw these clients on a daily basis and I have called the office manager to remind her that I need work and still no assignments offered
clients are great
Failure to provide work assignments for 2 months
Because every client is different with different needs, there were no 'typical' days. I learned so much from listening to clients and realize that though we age, inside we feel pretty much the same. My clients were intelligent (in most cases) with wonderful stories of their lives. I learned that they crave independence and respect and resent being treated as helpless. The management was very detailed on giving me the information required to adapt to each individual. The hardest part of the job was watching someone slowly die. The most enjoyable part was the sharing and laughter between myself and the client, It is really a very rewarding feeling to be helping someone get through their days with the best of their abilities.
