Not bad, but certainly not great
Site Supervisor (Former Employee) – Edmonton, AB – 4 February 2017
As Site Supervisor, saved a contract that was not going to be renewed which resulted in an extra 6 years of having that client business, which meant 6 years of income for Securitas.
Enjoyed autonomy as supervisor, but only because the client demanded that.
When client did end contract because of the current economy, I was buried on nights at shady auto auction.
Some smaller cities are after-thoughts.
Staff changeover at local office caused some issues for guards in the field. Overall not a horrible security company, but too often fails to recognize talent and opportunity.
Raises are virtually non-existent. Had one in 6+ years at the behest of the client - they threatened to cancel the contract if Securitas didn't comply.
They sometimes place personality differences ahead of recognizing talent. Have lost many superior security professionals because of this.
Some training in-house
Losing many contracts, office staff turn-over, raises are non-existent
