An extremely toxic work environment operators are encouraged to spy on others all prmotions go to friends or family of already established management. They will string you along with promises of advancement. Managment is the worst I’ve ever experienced physical intimidation has been used to try and force employees to do unsafe work practices to keep operational costs low. Wages are the lowest in the industry all and all a very poorly run company
Pros
Good benefits, work schedule 7-7
Cons
Toxic work environment, aggressive management, low wages, lack of opportunity for advancement

Worked a short time with this company due to the oil slowdown. Really enjoyed my time there, the management team were awesome, the work was fulfilling and you really felt like part of a team. Lots of employee support, varied tasks and just a good all around company. If it wasn't for the crash I believe that there would be lots of opportunity for advancement within the company. The work/life schedule was the best balance I have ever had.
Pros
Strict safety policies, varied tasks, a hotdog machine, good rotation.
Cons
Not much, I guess nightshifts would be the only con.

SECURE promotes a healthy safe working environment. The work was rewarding and the compensation was fair. At the time of hiring I expressed my concern over the current market environment and potential for future layoffs and it was expressed to me that they have never had to lay off, unfortunately due to an injection well going down and the hard economic times Alberta's oilfield is experiencing layoffs happened. This would be my only criticism of SECURE, but things such as these are beyond the control of middle management. This being said I would not hesitate to go back on board with SECURE at a future date when the opportunity presents itself.
Pros
Benefits, free uniforms, train from the ground up.
Cons
Rotating night/ day shifts. 4 on 4 off not quite enough hours to live on.
