Interesting fun average first job
Employee (Former Employee) –  Victoria, BC23 October 2017
I honestly liked working there for the most part. i agree with others that management and schedules need work tho, sometimes it got super busy and understaffed, but it can also be dead. Late night tips are great. I miss talking to the people downtown and i liked my co workers. Just a typical min wage job, lady boss was pretty nice
Pros
free lunches, tips
Cons
can be stressful

Great for high school kids
Shift Manager (Former Employee) –  Victoria, BC27 September 2016
Started out great! I got the hours I wanted and free pizza who could pass that up! But as I worked with the people who worked there I saw how the boss treated them working them 40+ hours with no over time and you didn't get paid on stats everyone I started with had quit by the 6th month of me working there So I took on more responsibility, I was closing one night with the son of the owner and I asked him "hey do you think your parents will give me a raise?" He replied "they better you're the best we've had in a long time and you're all we have" the next day I asked the boss for a raise and she very rudely declined. Basically if you work at second slice you will work there everyday for 8+ hours, get minimum wage, no over time and no thanks
Pros
Free pizza on shift, no mice
Cons
You're not respected, no room for growth

Stressful Environment, Large work load
Cashier/Cook (Former Employee) –  Victoria, BC26 May 2016
There was no typical day. There were very busy days, such as holidays, where the work load was very large. For example 10 pizzas ready in an hour, just after opening. Or other days where the staff spent the whole day folding boxes and doing food prep for the next day. The management was terrible; The manager was constantly tardy, the boss almost never there. The co-workers came and went very quickly. The hardest part of the job was working alone on unexpected times. The most enjoyable part of the job were customers and tips.

Productive and Gained experience in customer handling.
Cashier and Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Victoria, BC31 December 2014
The pizza may only cost $1.75 per slice, but you'll need at least two to satiate your hunger. But they have fairly adventurous toppings for slices, like pesto.

But unfortunately the crust and tomato sauce remind me of pizzas at various school cafeterias.
Pros
Free lunch and
Cons
Extra work from all workers.

good place to work but if you're female and work nights you are all by yourself and that brings up a lot of safety concerns
Shift Supervisor and Cashier (Former Employee) –  Victoria, BC31 October 2013
The most enjoyable part of my job was working/talking with the customers. I really loved working there and dealing with the customers. I made the prep and grated the cheese and made the dough for the pizzas.
