  • Second Cup is a good environment to work in if you are looking for a reasonably flexible, relatively easy job. In the last few years, more pressure has been placed on improving the experience, which means staff are expected to work harder and more efficiently. However, staffing and customer frequency are dependent on where the café is located.

    If you are looking to work within a company that offers advancement opportunities- this is not it. Most cafés are franchised operations, so options to move up are severely limited. Franchise owners are most likely to hire part-time staff only and have questionable operating protocols.

  • It was a fun and flexible environment, they had great drinks and food and people were friendly. An added bonus was that you could collect tips
