Administration (Former Employee) – Bridgewater, NS – 3 January 2019
The workplace culture is toxic. If this company had anything going for it, it has been completely negated by the actions of management and the owner. You will not be treated like a person, no matter how hard you work or how much you care about the company, you are just a number.
If you have legitimate concerns about the way you are being treated, there is nobody who will help or that you can talk to. There is no HR department. Your only course of action if you have any issues is to talk to the owner, who will back the managers no matter what.
If you are a sheep, and content to show up and be treated poorly, and will do so with a smile on your face and never complain, then you might make it a few months here. Even then, you'll probably be laid off or fired for no reason at all. Ask anybody who has ever worked here or currently employed here. They are not happy. Save yourself the grief and go work at basically any other company in the whole region and you'll be better off.
