Good perks
Accounting Clerk (Current Employee) - Vittoria, ON - 21 February 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedGood perks for the job and good co workers, lunch and gym are a nice bonus Seems to be a lot of favouritism with staff and management. Different departments get different treatment and have different rules

Jobs at Scotlynn
Safety and compliance administrator
Safety & Compliance Administrator (Former Employee) - Simcoe, ON - 25 November 2023
The management is very unprofessional and rude and take advantage of good workers to let them go before three months for no reasoning often or employees just stop showing up due to the lack of manner and care by other staff
Pros
Gym time and lunches
Cons
Bad management, gossip, bad attitude.

Job Fair
Applicant (Former Employee) - Brantford, ON - 17 October 2023
At a traditional job fair, one can expect to wait around. However, when a company asks me to book a time and expect me to arrive at said time. I would think the company could reciprocate that same courtesy. Instead we were invited to play some beanbag game and mini putt. I did not wish to attend a children’s carnival. I was applying for a job. I waited for over a half hour beyond my scheduled time with no acknowledgement, so I left. Clearly we have different priorities.

Don't work here
Self Employed Lease Contractor (Former Employee) - Simcoe County, ON - 24 August 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? New truck, no slip seating, same runs daily, no border crossing option. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Not enough work and pretty much breaking even most every month. Company will take their money even if you make none. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? A lot of false indication towards making money. They sure take care of themselves! What is a typical day like for you at the company? Stressed and anxious because there isn't enough work.

Run as fast as you can.
Lease Operator (Former Employee) - Calgary, AB - 21 August 2023
Only one customer out of Calgary to get you moving. Sometimes you are waiting a week for a load. Hard to stay above water. Trucks are abandoned constantly with new drivers being put in them so they are not mechanically very sound. They look pretty when they are actually moving. Lots of time to polish the chrome sitting at the Road King.
Pros
Nope
Cons
Yup

Horrible place to work
Billing Administrator (Former Employee) - Vittoria - 1 August 2023
Management doesn’t care about your mental health, when expressed my concern all I got was ‘ok’ Was told I’d get a raise and never got one. It’s one big drama fest and everyone knows what you tell other people.

Lots of Favouritism
Logistics Account Manager (Former Employee) - Vittoria, ON - 1 August 2023
If you’re one of the chosen ones by management, you’re set for life as they hand you success. And if you’re not, they act like you don’t exist and instead give you dirty looks in passing, will come up to speak to a group of people and ignore you the entire time. Pretty short replies if you ask them a question and will walk away while you’re still talking, but will come out of their office to chit chat with the favourites and skip out to go golfing with them. Scotlynn has LOTS of potential, but it should start its improvement with getting a better management team for the brokerage offices in both Brantford and Vittoria
Pros
Free food and Gym with Chef and Personal Trainer
Cons
24/7 work, Rude Management, Clicky Environment, No support from Management to succeed

Run Very Far Away
Truck Driver Lease Op (Former Employee) - Calgary - 9 May 2023
Nice equipment. That’s the end of the good. All the rest is bad. Stay away from the lease program. You will make more money working at Walmart and never be home. Take any time off and you will owe them money for the pay period. Guys abandon trucks all over the country all the time. Stay away !!
Pros
Nice equipment.

Excellent place to work
Owner/Operator (Current Employee) - Simcoe, ON - 29 April 2023
The people at Scotlynn make it easy to work here..The equipment is all brand new..with the best options available..The entire office staff from executives to safety dept and dispatchers also an after hrs dispatch are accessible for communication and to resolve any issues that may arise... The dispatch teams are on top of making the most of your weeks with proper planning and execution of trips with minimal waiting or layovers..with an elog this is a huge benefit knowing that you will get the miles you need and the home time you deserve..They don't ask for much other than to do your job safely and efficiently with minimal supervision and represent Scotlynn in the most professional ways possible..I've worked at a lot of companies over my almost 30 yrs in the trucking industry and by far Scotlynn has exceeded my expectations of what I need to make a living and have a even work/home life.
Pros
Communication, supportive, financially stable excellent working environment

Energetic, always trying to excel.
Lease Operator (Current Employee) - Vittoria, ON - 28 April 2023
I really enjoy working here. As a lease operator I've made great money over the last 6 years. There is no forced dispatch on open board long haul. I run the areas I like with as many miles as I want and as much home time as I need. Dispatch has always worked with me. They are great! There is local and retail work as well. Safety dept and office staff are great teams to work with. The equipment is great and makes a beautiful billboard going down the road! I wouldn't work anywhere else as a lease operator!

Very nice equipment, but poorly managed
Transport-Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Vittoria, ON - 26 April 2023
You are lured in by the newest and best equipment out there, but the management is more concerned about how there fleet looks on the outside than how the company runs. There regular maintenance manager has no education or experience as a mechanic but is a buddy of the owner. Dispatch has well meaning staff but there hands are tied by the lack of good management. The runs are good, mostly CA and back. Dispatch only works until 11 pm and produce loads all night, so if you have a problem you are on your own. Whatever you do, do not put a scratch in the tractors, else you will be let go.
Pros
Good Runs, Excellent Equipment
Cons
Poor Management, No Overnight Dispatch, Lack of Maintenance on Vehicles, Lack of Education in Management

Was promised much, given little
Lease Operator (Former Employee) - Moncton, NB - 20 April 2023
Was told there was money to be made here. But was going behind from day 1. Would not recommend this company. Was told just wait for a few weeks, things will change, but just kept getting worse. Last paycheque I owed them $44.00. Biggest mistake I ever made!
Pros
New truck to drive
Cons
Work 6 days a week for nothing

Hope you like drama and favouritism
Accounting (Former Employee) - Accounting - 6 April 2023
you have to fight to fit in around there, mamagment has their favourites and if your not one then you get ignored. all departments get treated differently its kind of annoying. I learned you really can't trust anyone and if you speak your mind you get crapped on

Great Place to Work
Billing Specialist (Current Employee) - Vittoria, ON - 4 April 2023
I’ve worked at Scotlynn for almost 2 years and it’s by far the best job I’ve had. As long as you distance yourself from drama, you’ll be successful here.
