Dont work there unles your desperate for a job

Lots of disgusting donations. I.e. clothing donations that were moldy, heavy smokers clothes, covered in large amouns of pet fur or grass, urine smell (sometimes still wet) either from cats or humans. Had bed bugs in donations once. Nasty old shoes. Nasty yellow sweat stained clothes. Bad manegment. Most coworkers were terrible to work with. A number of "customers" went for the 100% discount. Having to work outside a lot during winter as a recycler at a certain store because of no loading dock.

Pros

A few good customers. They had ok benefits.

Cons

A lot of bad customers. Most of the review = cons. Minimum wage.

Toxic environment

Overall the work is pretty easy and the benefits are good. Pay is minimum wage with the possibility of a 50 cent raise per year. The biggest issue is the workers and work culture is very toxic. I've described working here as being similar to being in an abusive relationship, I'm sure you can figure out why once you've worker for this company.

Pros

benefits

Cons

everything else

Horrible Company to work for

This company is all about the money and has little to know consideration for it's employees. When you reach your quotas they will double them the next day. It is very dirty and dusty with no ventilation. Safety issues aren't taken seriously unless it is the 'higher ups' who suggest them. Quantity over quality is definitely the goal of this company. A lot of stress with little to no pay off. Employees are disposable! Don't work for this company if you have children as they will expect you to chose them over you children or risk termination.

Pros

Decent benefits, great co workers

Cons

Management doesn't care about workers, low pay, terrible working conditions

fast pace and lots of heavy lifting

Lots of heavy lifting, dusty place, fast pace... I worked in different areas in production and learned every thing about different products to the price point that the company was looking for.... Management was great to work with in the beginning, but then they had a lot of turn over in management and it got a little mess up on what each manger wanted. Workplace culture was great easy going and hard working team members... Really happy to be part of the team... The hardest part of the job was seeing great workers move on... The most enjoyable part was the fast pace and busy day, Loved learning about new products and their price points... They also have great health benefits for full time staff.

Pros

Great health benefits

Overvworked and underpaid

As a sorter you have a quota managers are very demanding to make sure you reach these almost impossible quotas. Very dirty and dusty environment. The stress of having to reach quota on a daily basis and dealing with toxic smells and bugs not worth the low pay.

not long term

If you like doing the exact same thing every single day and being treated like a robot that expected to do more and better then what you are capable of, then this is the job for you. But if you want advancement, acknowledgment for good work, pay raises regularly, then choose a different job.

Fun But Can Be Boring

They always want you to be faster and exhaust yourself. You don't get promoted or ever get a raise. You only get benefits if you are full time. You get fired for not enough hours because you're going to school. Rude Management.

Pros

Fun

Cons

Rude management

Not a bad place to work

The breaks and hours are for the most part, regular hours, breaks on time every day. Friendly atmosphere. Management is good, understanding and can talk to them about just about anything. The hardest part of the job was having to deal with gross things people donated. The most enjoyable part was that you can get your job done and have a little fun too.

Pros

Free lunches, discounts and holidays!

Cons

sent home early on slow days

Management was a joke.

Job was unbalanced, coworkers where harassing to others and had poor attitudes, mangers harassed store workers, benefits after 3 months did not happen. Mangers would let customers harass store members.

Cons

Lots of harassment

Terrible atmosphere with impossible workloads.

As a production worker, you are required to work unreasonably hard with unreachable quotas. You're treated as slaves by management, in a moldy, dusty environment with no air ventilation. Very little chance for advancement.

Pros

some benifits.

Cons

long hours, bad management
