What tips or advice would you give to someone interviewing at Value Village?

10 answers

  • Answer all their questions as best you can. They don't need you to be perfect but if you refuse to answer an interview question you won't be hired.

  • Be very clear about what job you are applying for and how many hours you can work

  • They basically look at stuff like, weak handshakes, body language, because their looking for people they think can be molded to what the job is.

  • Turn around and work somewhere else

  • Look like you're interested, even if it means taking notes in the interview. Have questions for them ready and figure out which side of the store you want to be in beforehand (this will dictate your hours) - Production (40 hours a week usually) processes the goods and don't deal with customers too often, Operations (Part-time to full-time-ish) deal with the customers and the sales floor, not the processing of product.

  • Be yourself.

  • Be honest and clear about your expectations. show up early. smile and give good eye contact

  • Make sure you’re not going to Production if you dislike being under intense pressure.

  • Hope you don't go this far

  • This is really fun and exciting to work here because you can find something unique and you can save money coz its really cheap
