Reviews about Pay & benefits for Personal Shopper at Save On Foods
Good for High school students but terrible for anyone else
Personal Shopper (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 20 June 2022
Instead of giving more work hours they hire more people for a specific department so I was left barley making 200 a week which is not enough to live on. And their “raise” is a complete joke.
Pros
Free food occasionally, wifi, slower pace
Cons
Too few hours

great place to work, free food item every week and More Reward points too.
Cashier/Deli clerk/Service desk/Ecom personal shopper (Current Employee) - Victoria, BC - 23 April 2022
I shop ecomm, it's awesome. Paid every week, union means regular raises for experience hours, lots of staff - most of them nice. You can cross train in many other departments until you find one that you love.

Not a bad environment but it has its downsides
PERSONAL SHOPPER (Current Employee) - Sherwood Park, AB - 24 January 2022
Save on Foods isn't a bad company to work for, but there are a few issues. I work in the ecomm department and its overall pretty fun, but it definitely has a lot of downsides. Weather is probably the biggest problem in this department since in the winter you're going to be freezing all shift and in the summer you're going to be unbearably hot... it can also be extremely fast paced and stressful, especially if you're working by yourself. Management is pretty decent, some people are unbearable but overall lots of my coworkers and managers are pretty easy to talk to and get along with.
Pros
Discount, team exclusive offers, weekly free item, decent holiday hours
Cons
Understaffed, stressful work days, some management is frustrating or exhausting to work with
