BEAUTIFUL JOB - I was very happy
I was hired through a subcontractor on a contract but worked directly with Sanofi. I loved it, I'd say it's one of the best jobs I had, and it was remote! You ideas were heard and counted, and in fact you could take ownership of your position. I loved the diversity and it was a good team. The only "con" I'd say is that I was doing UX work in an Agile team, and so there were a lot of constraints, which is typical if a UX designer is within a delivery team. That means, not as much user testing, but they did user interviews, and I was involved, but that was from the whole tech team, and so the questions were more to do with features and not testing them, but just seeing if the logic was ok, or what else they needed. So it's wasn't a test on the "experience", it was more like UCD, not UX. UCD doesn't get into testing the experience. But, that's just how it is in a delivery team. You do get some problem solving, and designing, and you set forth your hypothesis, and instead of solving it then and there as a UX designer does, the whole team takes in feedback requests after launch, and I don't believe in that, but that's just how it is. You have to apply for a job in discovery if you want to ideate and test your ideas! :) Science Intern in Toronto, ON

Lieux productif
Technician in North York, ON

Internals are king.
Do your best to suck up and play favorite until you are an internal employee otherwise, you will be pushed out due to bureaucracy. The benefits are good, the pay is good the location is good, the culture can definitely improve. What would you say about your employer?
