Culture's deteriorating by the day now
Senior Analyst (Current Employee) - Montréal, QC - 21 September 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedIt used to be a really good company to work for before the "Activist Investors" came on board. But management has been coming up with metrics just for the sake of it. Things are really getting worse by the day.

So many meetings and highly stressful
Sales Compensation Manager (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 13 September 2023
The V2MOM is a total farce. I just copied my manager’s totally. There were performance reviews but they didn’t relate to V2MOM. There is a tonne of pressure and extra hours and mistakes were thrown in your face over and over. Manager constantly threatened PIP, and had zero empathy.
Pros
Not much
Cons
Long hours

Productive and fun workplace.
Account Manager (Current Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 14 August 2023
Not bad overall. Would recommend applying. Some managers can be difficult but overall the environment is collaborative and good to work in. Salaries could be higher.

Great place to work
Solution Engineer (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 10 August 2023
Salesforce is an awesome place to work... lots of ways to grow and the product is great. Recent layoffs hurt the atmosphere but thats expected with any form of restructure The Product investment doesn't seem to have been impacted which is key for me

tough competition
Business Development Representative (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 7 August 2023
High metrics to meet. Your ability to get paid and move-up solely depends on your compass and your compass mostly depends on your territory and your AE's. If you have a bad territory, consider yourself out of luck to move forward. If you want to be an AE, you are better off working as an AE somewhere else and boomeraging in. The BDR org will not let you move up if you don't have a 100% metric.

Fast paced, highly collaborative work environment.
Quality Engineer & Software Developer (Former Employee) - Fredericton, NB - 27 July 2023
Salesforce is a fast paced, highly collaborative work environment. The pay was excellent as was the other benefits, but there is no job security there.

Productivité et engagement
Business Development Manager (Former Employee) - Montréal, QC - 13 June 2023
L’entreprise Salesforce permet aux personnes motivées de se retrouver dans un projet stimulant, motivant. Une rigueur et une implication est nécessaire.

Make sure you have the right manager
BDR (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 12 May 2023
Very political organization, a lot of saturated territory, very small, and management for BDR org in Toronto is absolutely horrible! Don't ask for help to management, unless you are okay loosing some IQ, don't really help, will gaslight you... You can make good money, if you have the right territory, learn from the Ae's and use a lot of the resource available to you. Looks really good on resume but definitely not a easy job if you have bad manager who only cares about managing up and not helping BDR's... aprox 3/5 are manager are brutal to deal with.

Jobs at Salesforce
Golden time
Director of Operations (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 3 April 2023
I had a great team and enjoyed fantastic culture, as well as good-enough tech. Unfortunately the culture seems to be shifting lately what with layoffs.

A marketer's dream
Account Executive (Sales) (Former Employee) - Remote - 12 March 2023
Salesforce has an incredible marketing team. You will learn a lot working here. Your success largely depends on your manager, team, and territory that you are assigned to.

Great Place to Work w/ Great People
Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee) - Vancouver, BC - 1 June 2022
Really depends on what team you're in, but I don't have any complaints about my time at Salesforce. Have friends working in other FAANG companies that always complain about long hours / on-call / and toxic environment. Not here! Working on the latest and greatest tech. Management are people leaders that want you to do your best. However, I do feel this is a workplace to retire in and not for when you are young and hardcore. There's a feeling of being institutionalized. You'll get too chill and you'll love it, but it may not always be the best for you in the future. Great for mental health and work-life but feels like you're in a bubble. Overall, I would recommend if you're into a less-stressful chill life.

Great place to work with amazing people and culture
Principal Solution Engineer (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 20 May 2022
Salesforce is tough to get into. The job application process is very competitive. It took me three attempts before I finally landed a job offer. Once you are in, they invest significantly in your onboarding and enablement. I think it is the best I have ever had. You will work with many inspiring and amazing people. There are many opportunities for advancement, and tools to help you get there.

A company with real values
Solutions Engineer (Current Employee) - Canada - 16 March 2021
Salesforce is a great place to work, not only because of the values, but also the people. The standard of employee here is high across the board, so it (a) motivates you to push yourself and (b) is a pleasure to work with these people. The management structure of my Canadian org is amazing, that of the Tableau org not so good, I don't trust them and the Tableau culture is not the same as the Salesforce culture.
Pros
Excellent product, excellent people, excellent management
Cons
It is a high performing company and you have to keep up. Tableau culture needs work

Senior Marketing Cloud AE
Marketing Cloud Account Executive (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 2 March 2021
I started as an intern and have been with the company for just under 6 years. Since then I've been promoted 7 x. Great culture and growth opportunity. The expectations are very high but so is the reward. It is a fun culture but also a very hardworking culture. I'm thankful to have started my career here.
Pros
Everyone is smart and good at their job. You'll make friends. The pay is great.
Cons
Work life balance can be tricky, especially in Q4. People who don't perform are managed out.

Inspiring workplace with highly motivated and intelligent colleagues
Account Executive (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 10 September 2020
Salesforce has truly been an inspiring place to work. It's a great platform and more importantly, they hire some of the best and brightest. The company's commitment to developing talent and advancing your career is second to none. Given everything that is going on, it's not enough to provide free snacks and great pay. We should expect more our executives to stay committed to using their power and influence to remedy the issues that persist in society. On this front, Salesforce leads the way as an increasingly socially responsible enterprise that can have a positive effect on the world in which we operate.
Pros
Great management, Great benefits, Strong commitment to social issues, Great Training, Great People
Cons
Competitive, High Stress

Productive and fun place to work with amazing benefits and a caring upper leadership team
Principal Success Engineer (Current Employee) - Fredericton, NB - 1 May 2020
Salesforce is an amazing place to work. However, the environment is incredibly fast paced and change happens all of the time so if you are unkind to change you might struggle.
That being said, they give you all of the tools to succeed with ample training material to better learn not just the Salesforce platform but many other great subjects that can be an asset in any professional career.

Great Sales School
Account Executive (Former Employee) - Montréal, QC - 14 April 2020
Tons of internal resources to support you in content creation. Cookie cutter approach, if you fit the mold, you'll thrive. Commissions were great. Ensure you have a great manager.

Work hard-play hard
Account Executive (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 13 April 2020
To be successful at Salesforce in a sales role, you must be comfortable with a lot of cold calling and prospecting. CRM usage is at its peak, everything is visible amongst your peers, it is a constant grind month after month.
