Visiting RPN
Visiting RPN (Former Employee) - Scarborough - 27 October 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedOkay company to work for if you enjoy working in the community. Typical day consists of seeing 15-20 client a day *they frequently call you to ask if you can even accept more. After visits you go home and spend 1-2 UNPAID hours calling 15-20 clients to arrange the next days schedule and submit any outstanding paper work. If paper work is not up to date, sometimes visits made will go unpaid. So be very well organized.
Pros
Decent pay for todays standard of living, Supportive/approachable supervisor, Able to work within full scope of practice
Cons
No work life balance at all, When client are no shows you waste alot of time having to track the client down and report.

31 October 2023We are sorry you had this experience. We know that working in the community definitely has its challenges as we provide care to an increasingly complex population. This in turn can create some challenges in managing work life balance, at times. We wish you all the best.
Good
Nurse (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 27 November 2023
Worked there for 8 yrs. Not bad but office staff was unprofessional. Management was good. Learning opportunities were amazing. Part time stipulations not so great.

16 October 2023Hi. We would love to speak with you so we can resolve your concerns. Please call our office and ask to speak with a manager. Thank you
kind coworkers, busy environment
Coordinator (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 12 September 2023
Nice people to work with. Good compensation and benefits. It is a call centre environment so you’d have to be okay with being on the phone a majority of the day. There’s a 45 min lunch break.

Coordinator positions are stressful and not rewarding
Client Service Coordinator (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 5 September 2023
Amazing people work here. Management is awful. No meetings or opportunities for growth; expect to be on the phone line all day without relief. Very stressful environment. I was constantly scheduled for 12-8pm shifts on weekends even after talking to management about seniority and others taking those shifts.
Pros
Free Birthday cake, fun end of year holiday party
Cons
Stressful

12 September 2023We are sorry you had this experience as a coordinator. We do try to accommodate all staff requests. However, our business is open from 5am until midnight. The coordinators assigned to the 12p-8p shifts are those hired specifically for those shifts. We apologize if there was any confusion and wish you all the best.
Great agency

Productive and fun place to work
Personal Support Worker (Former Employee) - Brampton and celadon - 2 June 2023
I work at SRT for 16 years and I have never been more impressed, the only reason why I left is because I moved out of the area. I can find a job that pays me as well as SRT in my current area, also the politeness of the staffs is very high.
Pros
You get paid an extra hour for certain areas
Cons
You can work as much as you want

Management believes only what they’re Clients and families say
PSW (Former Employee) - Vaughan, ON - 9 April 2023
Most of their Clients are prejudiced and management always support their prejudices. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Their job offer in the interview is very different from what the job offer says on paper.

SRT Review
PSW (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 22 March 2023
Good agency as a hospital PSW. You can be placed in many different units and hospitals. The staff are very considerate of your work availabilities and they provide a good amount of shifts when you indicate how many you would like to work

Pros

Cons
Difficult to have a work life balance

Is a very interesting and awesome place to be. very creative and productive
Child Care Worker and Adult Care giver worker. (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 29 November 2022
Great place to work, wonderful staffs 82 percent of SRT MED Staff employees would recommend working there to a friend. I appreciated working for Srt Med Staff for the time I did. The compensation wasn't the greatest but as a starter in the field it was ok. The scheduling coordinators were polite and they pay close attention to your work ethic to give you extra hours. They add no pressure to you if you're not comfortable with a particular client for whatever reason. The only reason I'm not still with them is on the grounds that I moved to another city.

Productive environment
Personal Support Worker (PSW) (Former Employee) - Scarborough, ON - 23 September 2022
An okay place to work. Salary could be better but good work and family life balance. Some coordinators come off a bit rude, but you learn to deal with it.
Pros
Worklife balance
Cons
Sometimes not enough shifts

A good place to start your career and gain experience
PSW (Current Employee) - Scarborough, ON - 12 April 2022
It's a community setting so I visited my clients in their homes. I get to help them with their basic needs and provide support for the client and their family. It is a rewarding job at the end of the day. Coordinators, nurse supervisor(s), and HR are very helpful and can be reached when you need them.

Great place to work
Personal Support Worker (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 11 March 2022
Excellent employer. Coordinators are accomodating. Fair salary wage. Lots of hours if you like to work more. The only problem is to pick your supplies. Very far from my location and limited supply, not worth travelling to pick up supplies.
Pros
Fair hourly rate
Cons
Far place to pick up your supplies.
