Support Technique Ignite in Montréal, QC

Used to be a great workplace pre Covid.
You’re eligible for a raise every 6 months if I’m not mistaken. But there is a cap limit on how much you can make. Worked in Tech Support and my salary went from 16$ to 21$ under 3 years. They have excellent benefits and great shares program. You should take advantage of it if you work there. They’re always organizing little cute events throughout the month with lots of treats for the employees (pre Covid). I was lucky I had great managers, always ready to help and actually wanted you to progress further into the company. But I know it’s not the same in every department. Everyone helped each other when we had questions or issues. Teamwork really makes the dreamwork. Anytime one of us had a question we would help each other and if we didn’t know we would ask TM’s or Tier 2.I left because things became too hectic once Covid hit. We all started working from home but the workload became higher and they added so many useless new rules that just made our job harder. Managers did their best but you could tell the higher ups put a lot of pressure on them to apply all these new rules. Pre Covid it was the perfect job.Post/during Covid it wasn’t worth it anymore.Maybe things will change back to normal in a year or 2.

Great experience
Ability to gain good work experience, flexible schedule. Great work environment, made many life long friends in this position. Not a lot of room for advancement within the department.

Great first job in retail
This job as a first job is actually really good for retail, you get to play with different phones and understand how they all work. Being able to educate customers can be good too but too many angry customers sometimes.

Overall management is really nice but stressful environment
Very stressful as a job. Extremely little downtime between calls which gives no time to relax whatsoever. Drained by the end of the day of people mostly calling to complain and always being extremely monitored. In my opinion, very little paid for the complexity of the job.
