They put you on a team system where 5 or so techs pool their hours together and share. If you are lazy works good. If you work hard you're a sucker because you lose the hours to lazy teammates

Pros

Lots of tech meetings

Cons

Almost cult like culture

Not a great place to work

poor pay, poor management constantly changing rules and not open with decision making. Long hours and poor pay. Lots of broken promises that failed to be delivered upon. Inflexible management that did not listen to your concerns.

Pros

Worked with some good people

Cons

long hours, poor pay

Poor management

Many concerns brought to upper management went unheard. Upper management ok with employees stealing from the company and indirectly affecting other employees wages. Compensation promised not received. Management ungrateful for employees long hours. Companies core values not a reality. Wouldn’t recommend working here. High turnover of staff shows the dealership is broken.

Hello,Thank you for the honest and open review. We understand that the hours and the ups and downs regarding compensation can be challenging within the finance role. We do know in the circumstances mentioned, that several of the finance team and their managers had plenty of conversations to address and try to come to agreements on the concerns mentioned. In addressing the turnover concern, I can assure you that the dealership's turnover rate is well below the local industry average. We do appreciate your feedback and will continue to share this information with our team. If there's an opportunity to discuss your concerns in better detail, please send us an email with the best way to contact you - bhoulbrook@dcag.caThanks,The DCAG HR Team

Fast paced environment with high income potential

Great coworkers. I have received a lot of training during my time with them. Workplace culture is one of the main benefits of working for this company. Hardest part of the job is dealing with stressful situations on a daily basis.

Pros

Free lunch, people

Cons

Long hours

It's very easy to talk about the negatives. Dealership lifestyle is pretty much centered around conflict. Someone's car breaks down and they pretty much have two options: get it fixed ($,$$$) or buy a new one ($$,$$$). Neither of those chioces are actually fun for anyone with a tight budget. If you can figure out a work/life balance with long hours of constant (sometimes heated) interactions. This place can work for you. And don't be shy if you dont know anything about cars. That is what veteran sales guys and mechanics are for. You will learn. You will talk. You will eat the pizza lunch at the day disrupting, monthly team building rally. Seriously if you are looking for work experience I cant think of a better place. I can't recommend this as a career though. The daily grind will eventually make you move on.

Pros

Dealership life. Mechanic friends, nice cars, day disrupting monthly catered lunches

Cons

Angry customers, bringing their lives down on you, for reasons that have nothing to do with you or the dealership...

Toxic work atmosphere, if the customer comes to the dealership he is not leaving without a car from them

Start the morning meeting with the rest of the sales floor team members and learn/practice sales tactics. If no customers around read and learn about vehicles features and new products. Walk the showroom floor or parking lot, be observant for anyone at anytime stepping onto the premises. If it’s a winter time clean/brush the snow on the sidewalks, cars and help out with the snow plowing of the parking lot. If you are new to the industry and you are dealing with the difficulty customers, team members or managers our helpful sometimes but when the coast is clear you are being bullied of your handling of the customers and made feel guilty for not making the sales for the dealership. In between all of this you still have to do the daily cold calling to the new or previous customer and convince them to trade their existing or buy a new car.

Pros

Saturday lunches provided, low pay, new cars

Cons

Long hours, toxic team leaders, difficult customers

Good people, good team

I liked it here for the people. I felt over worked often, which is ok, sometimes, but the money wasn’t worth it to me. I felt they could do better for that

Pros

Team culture, lots of fun times

Cons

Long hours, it great pay for what I did
