Well paid but could be better...Great school to work at. They involved with the latest technology in most of the classes. School provides iPads for students and mac laptops to their teachers.

A great school to work at

I've been at RHMS for two years and originally started working here because of their advanced academic program and emphasis on professional development. You are acknowledged for the professional development you complete and your areas of expertise are recognized. The students and school community are great and the school itself is very well maintained. Technology use in the school is top-notch and there is extensive training and resources at your disposal.

RHMS is a wonderful private school to work in...It has been 18 years since I joined RHMS and I enjoy going to work every morning.

RHMS is a wonderful private school to work in. I have been working for more than 18 years and i feel like its my second home. Administration is very professional. Its a very enriched program so you feel very accomplished as a teacher working with the students taking up new challenges everyday and always looking for more challenges and excitement . RHMS is a great school to work!

Great place to grow

I stared as a supply for few months at RHMS then got a job offer. I have learned and gained so much experience in my four months supply. It’s a very professional place to work and grow at as a teacher. Management (Owner, HR, principal and VP principles) wanted you to success and grow and always their to help and support . They treat their Co-teachers as teachers not assistant in the classroom, I am very excited to start and gain more knowledge at RHMS.

RHMS implemented policies that exceeded public health and ministry of education expectations to support staff and students during the pandemic.

Communication and Collaboration

At RHMS students benefit from an enriched curriculum which strives to make big picture connections, ultimately inspiring them to make a positive impact in their world. Teams of teachers and administrators are always working with one another on a wide variety of initiatives that serve to further enrich our students’ learning environment. Staff are encouraged and supported in their efforts to pursue professional development opportunities. Ample opportunities are provided for staff to share their ideas and learn from one another. There are plentiful resources (including print, manipulatives, and technology) available to teachers to incorporate into their lessons. RHMS students are bright and motivated and readily demonstrate a wide variety of positive character traits. A high amount of emphasis is placed on collaboration, communication, and mutual support between and amongst staff, students and parents.

Excellent place to work

I have worked at RHMS for 10 years and I would highly recommend working there as I have had a wonderful and positive experience. The school is very structured and keeps up with all of the newest technology. The facility is extremely clean and sanitary. Especially during these challenging times RHMS has gone above and beyond to make sure everyone at school is safe and healthy. They have invested in UV sterilizations units for all of the classroom ventilation systems, they have protocols for faculty to spray surfaces before and after washroom use, the caretakers are constantly sanitizing and disinfecting the washrooms as well. They have lowered the classroom ratios and created small classroom cohorts along with daily temperature checks. The school mandated masks from preschool through grade 8 right from the beginning. They invested in touch free hand sanitizers for every classroom, entrance and staff lounge. They have created 8 separate staff lounges to implement social distancing. Parents are also not permitted to be in the building. In January of 2020 when covid was just known the administration enforced a 3 week quarantine for all families coming off international flights much to the resistance of parents, the administration did not let down. The school also supplies high grade masks for all faculty. Also during the pandemic the school did not dismiss or lay off any staff members and provided extra hours for those who wanted to teach distance learning. RHMS administration really cares about the well being of children, parents and faculty and a testament to that is they refunded -

Excellent pay, health spending account, RRSP program, beautiful facilities and very clean, room for growth.

Richmond Hill Montessori has the best interest of children at heart in all of the work that they do. The facilties and grounds are immaculately kept and every child has an abundance of resources at their disposal to succeed. The school also prioritizes safety and security.

The staff at RHMS really care and always go the extra mile for the people they work with and the students they teach. When you walk through the doors of RHMS you can feel the passion and desire to learn from everyone in the building.
