What is the best part of working at the company?There is no best part of working for RCDSB. They treat their teaching staff with such disrespect it's sickeningWhat is the most stressful part about working at the company?They put inexperienced staff with physically and mentally abusive studentsWhat is the work environment and culture like at the company?Very stressful. You are always pulling a knife out of your back at the end of the dayWhat is a typical day like for you at the company?A typical day will include no less than 5 students cursing at you, 0 students listening to you and admin not caring

They really do try hard to meet diverse needs while working within limits imposed from outside of their control. Not rating as 5 as they are quick to jump on the band wagon with new initiatives/technology and it feels like we work out the kinks to the benefit of boards who may buy in a little later. Sometimes I wish we’d drag our feet a little more to preserve staff stamina and lessen fatigue over needing to get excited over the next new thing.

Worked for them as a teacher. The organization is typical for most school boards. They treat people fairly within the bounds of the collective agreement. No complaints.

A positive environment. Very lucky to have competent Administration.

A great place to work! Supportive co-workers and great, hard working students. As with all of Ontario Teachers - Teachers are protected from harassment and bullying from Administration.
