Not that good

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Best thing is you get WFH and flexible hrs. But company is sales driven and not the service. customers get irritate because of continuous sales over phone. Some times QAPFs are not that helpful. If u can get other good job no need to do this WFH. They dont give sufficient hrs to work.

They alowed for calls at home base employment

I worked through Adecco Temp Agency and they provided customer leads to call. It was a one year contract that ended in 3 years so I was very fortunate to work on this unique project while the position was available.

Reliance is terrible place to work

There is no opportunity for advancement at Reliance. The salary they'll offer you is insultingly low. Their training is terrible, which is likely due in part to the very high rate of employee turnover.

Reliance Home Comfort

Unrealistic AHT (Average Call Handling Time) 300/340 seconds/ call. Which includes callers complete verification, resolution of the issue by searching reliance online documents and if the answer is not their ask in the chat room which itself takes 2 to 3 minutes for a reply, then booking appointment, repeating what has been booked to the customer and then have to pitch sales on every call. Very long holds with other departments to accept the transfer of the customer or try to get an answer of their query which is related to other departments which can easily makes a call 10 to 15 and some times 20 or 30 minutes long. They have system issues on almost daily basis which increases the Call Handling Time and there is nothing you can do about it. Sales incentives can be lost very easily if you are not keeping a record and/ tracking them because they easily miss your sales even though every thing is recorded in the system and you wont get paid for all the hard work you put in and the time wasted to pitch a sale. If your working during the hours are posted for the next week...you won't be able to select enough hours which can lead to having less than 15 hrs/week meaning getting close to loosing a job for not meeting minimum hours requirement. Unpaid mandatory meetings which are Atleast for an hour long.

Pros

Work from home

Cons

System issues, unrealistic AHT, very strict on number of sales, missing the right number of sales, very long holds with other departments.

80 hours of unpaid course work for a job that offers 2-3 hours per week to start

Unrealistic expectations for anyone to remember all the detail in training... but if you are willing to pitch a sale to every caller, you will make it. If not, you will have spent over 80 hours for a job that is constantly threatened for not meeting unrealistic handle time and for unrealistic sales.

Pros

pick your hours

Cons

not worth your time

Need to be a sales person

Do not join Reliance, unless you can get at least 20 sales per week, which is next to impossible. If you do not, you will either lose your job or get a maximum of 5hrs per week only. I worked for this company & got on average 15 sales per week & still only got 5hrs per week. Unless you push customers to buy plans, you will not succeed in this company. My recommendation is if you can find other work besides this than do so. Also, if you sell upgrades you do NOT make commission, & ONLY on NEW plans. The company is very misleading & decieving. Your calls are monitored & if the QAPF doesn't rate you high enough, it counts against you, so therefore you won't be anymore hours. Highly NOT recommended. Not to mention, there are multiple mandatory meetings & if you don't attend then you get fired.

Pros

N/a

Cons

Not enough hours, pushy QAPF's

If youre not a Sales person dont bother applying

Main focus of this company is to sell they don't care about customer's needs. Its all about making a sale on every call. If you aren't aggressive enough to stuff the protection plan down a callers throat or talk people into buying new equipment they don't need then they'll let you go. End of the day your calls are scored based on the # of sales you managed to get in your shift. That's another thing, when business is slow there are no hours available for work. Imagine being scheduled 5 hrs per week for an entire month! This job was a joke!!!!

Good Beginner Job

This job is really good for someone who wants a completely flexible schedule but also isnt looking to work 40 hours a week. The pay is good but be prepared to give up 10 percent of it to your IBO. Also the three week training is a bit much IMO.

Pros

Flexible

Cons

Not enough hours.

Friendly work environment

Management and co-workers were nice and friendly, although there have been many changes as I've heard since I left the company. It is also a competitive workplace as it is to do with sales.

Pros

Employee appreciation shown through lunches provided by company
