Great coworkers, poor management
Primary care provider (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 16 November 2021
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedCoworkers in primary care were fantastic, as are the staff in the harm reduction programs. However, the management structures are confusing and there is a lot of conflict between them that holds up progress and change. Some managers seemed to contribute little to their programs. Employee input is poorly considered, and it greatly impacts the care that can be given to the community. Management is very disconnected from the frontline workers and response to concerns voiced is underwhelming. A big overhaul of the management team up the ladder will be needed to make this an effective organization.
Pros
Coworkers, harm reduction mentality
Cons
Management

horrible place to work
Receptionist (Former Employee) - 465 Dundas St - 11 November 2019
Place is dirty. Staff not sure of their leader. Never there. Work not recognized. The board needs to see what actually is happening with the management team.

Problems reported to the EDE NEVER get addressed. Makes one wonder why that truly is.
Clinical Experience (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 2 March 2019
Management leaves a great deal to be desired.
Problems reported to the EDE NEVER get addressed. Makes one wonder why that truly is. Who is actually managing the facility.
All the concerns should be brought before the board of Directors and not just filed away. Those that should be unbiased are in he others pockets.
The professionals working here are a great group. However some seem to find it necessary to report everything true or fabricated.
A very toxic work environment. Not conducive to trust etc.
Truly sad because this clinic could be once again be a wonderful productive environment. Needs to remove some of the management.
The wages are 30 years behind the times.
The professions employed are very dedicated to the population in the area.
Pros
Great clinical and support staff
Cons
Toxic work environment!

Administrative Coordinator (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 18 November 2017
I believe in a previous summary I wrote about what I thought was this expereince. Which for many years was good. I left due to a number of reasons including health reasons, some of which was caused by this company.

Great front line position
Student Parent Support Worker (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 16 February 2016
Schedule is flexible really quiet nice, I learned that you can do as much or as little as you like, as long as to meet the bare minimum when it comes to requirements. If you complain enough or make really good excuses you may not even have to meet those minimum requirements. Management is poor, infrastructure is poor and archaic, coworkers are great depending on who chooses to work with you, not open to new staff unless they knew you from before you joined the organization and even then. The job is not hard, you don't even need to be specifically qualified to obtain this position. The most enjoyable part is working with students and families.
Pros
Schedule, vacation and benefits, working with awesome youth
Cons
POOR work culture

Dental Receptionist (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 2 November 2015
It was very rewarding at the end of each day. I was able to assist and advocate for individuals that does not have access to low cost dental. My co-workers where excellent team players. The hardest part of the job was working in such small space. I was able to work individually and in a team.
Pros
Being able to help low income families with there dental needs
Cons
Small work space
