I've worked at a fair amount of comoanys in my time and this place is by far the worst....they send yiu out with minimal training g and expect mira les, the order person adjusts your order as she sees fit, field sups don't give a darn about you and take the time to put you down not build you up, threaten your job at every opportunity,
Too many to list
Never work for this company...they lack respect, to much gossip from both employees and management. Never will I work another camp that only pays minimum wages. Maybe if I was a person from a different culture I would get treated better. I hated the head chef I worked under. All he did was think he was mr hot shot. And wouldnt shut up complaining. And go figure that all you find in the office is this stick figure barbie doll blond. If you dont have blond hair and big boobs the the guys in this company wont treat with respect.
Performed cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping. Wrapped sandwiches/cookies, handled hot entrees, and desserts to customers specifications. Scrubbed and polished counters, cleaned glasses and dishes. Replenished foods to be prepared to meet customers as required. Brewed coffee and tea, and filled containers with requested beverages. Operated dish washing equipment and distributed and stored clean pots, dishes and utensils Cleaned and sanitized production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures Emptied trash containers as required and maintained assigned work station in a safe and sanitary condition
never a set schedule
A toxic environment overall double standards backstabbing and divide and conquer type of attitudes and alot of gossip and drama bullying and intimidation
Free food and.shelter and going home
Staff members environment upper management under qualified staff and.management no communication
Would not recommend working for them. Small company trying to compete with the big boys. Employees and clients suffer.
Over 3 years I made way up quite Rapidly. but after a while, after multiple management changes and a ridiculous amount of staff turnover their true colors started to appear. As much as they preach loyalty and "family values " it became obvious that this company is all talk and going downhill fast.
theyv are not fair when it comes to sending u out but if ub like people messing with your lively hood than
they are not fair sometimes you go far a weeek and then they send you home they have there fav people and they are the ones who bget call out for work they it their 21 days if u are not a fav you stay home
Gong show .... very poor management . Poor communication , extremely petty , lots of drama . When asking chef questions .. his response was always do the best u can . Went in as breakfast cook , get there and I was a baker for half the rotation . Then they hired a papered baker and put her in as a breakfast cook . Still trying to figure that one out !

Is Indeed your favorite place to learn about companies?
Moved around a lot due to being a relief cook, most camps were a pleasure to take over, others made me wonder who put the idiot in charge of the kitchen as they were disgusting and the first cook probably knew i'd say something as he had left before i got there and was late for the handover when i left. On seeing this, it was clear that management were happy just to have a permanent cook in the location rather than rectify the situation and replace him.
Last minute changes to rotations
If I could give this company a 0 I would.staff are disrespectful all the time, refuse to work and hr will bot back you in any way.was told, let them do what they want we dint want hr complaint. This is at a 450 man camp with no camp manager.alwaya going to the client directly to get things done.and super cheap.wont pay ab wages in bc camp.be aware.and all the bad reviews get removed.the good reviews are done by the company
I worked hard for red rock wearing many hats. I started off as a camp attendant then bounce around because of my good work ethics to accommodate cuts. I ended up working as a janitor at pelican. I was then placed at a fire camp unexpectedly with out consultation. I was expected to take another salary cut with more responsibility. I waited to get a placement elsewhere and wasn't consulted. I applied for EI and management said I quit. What a crock. I worked hard and this was the thanks I got. Management doesn't care for their employees. They will screw you over. Apply with another catering company
Good camps and atmosphere
Office environment was great, really enjoyed working there. Was on a contract position so eventually I was let go. I don't have anything bad to say about the company, it was a great opportunity and I am glad I was able to experience it.
Pay sucks For the amount of work a second cook does. Long hours of you work over 11 hours you basically have to fight for the hours over 11. The people are great though. management sucks and disorganized. It's an all right company if you want to get your foot in the door with camps. But wouldnt recommend long term.
Pay, disorganized, hours
My day at work would have to be get the job done, I can multi-task very well can work along or with others and love a new challenge.I like to work in a fun place . I also like to learn new things in the kitchen. and the most enjoyable part would be is making other people and customers happy I like the smile on a person's face it tells me that I did a great job!
I like to work in a fast paced fun environment
The hardest part for me is running behind schedule.
