Worst company

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
I've worked at a fair amount of comoanys in my time and this place is by far the worst....they send yiu out with minimal training g and expect mira les, the order person adjusts your order as she sees fit, field sups don't give a darn about you and take the time to put you down not build you up, threaten your job at every opportunity,

Pros

none

Cons

Too many to list

All camp employees very friendly and respectful

It was one of the most greatest jobs I've had.very good support and very understanding bosses. Ive learned alot and looking forward to working in camp again in my future. This was my real first experience in camp , a experience I will honor and respect thru out my career as a housekeeper.

Pros

Yummy

Cons

I liked the long hours, gave me extra time for extra cleaning duties

Field Workers ok, Management Unorganized and Absent

Management for this company is unorganized, absent from the office almost all the time. I assume the personal affairs and social engagements are more important than the employees they manage. I would not recommend this employer to anyone. The people working in the field however, (your co-workers), were generally good to work with. It's unfortunate that there is such a poor team and role model for management.

Pros

free boarding and lodging, fair pay, travel pay

Cons

uncertain work schedules, no job security

Hated there

Wasn’t a good company. So cheap and bosses weren’t respectful. I didn’t like the company or the boss of the company. He gave dirty looks when he didn’t like my answer to his question

Pros

Nothing

Cons

Long hours poor pay

I would go back to work for them

Be an extra early when getting to your shift and do what your assigned to do and obey the rules . Be polite to clients with respect and generosity. In my point of view the clients need our respect to get respect back ,it's a two way matter, give respect and receive respect . I would recommend anyone to work for Redrock as I would rather go back to work for them any time

Pros

Awesome work schedule

Cons

Not getting paid for overtime

Very poor management

Very unorganized and very stressful company to work for . They dont give enough notice to be ready for work, work was also spiratic and they hired pretty much anyone that says they can cook

Pros

Nothing good about this company

Haha not great one bit

Never work for this company...they lack respect, to much gossip from both employees and management. Never will I work another camp that only pays minimum wages. Maybe if I was a person from a different culture I would get treated better. I hated the head chef I worked under. All he did was think he was mr hot shot. And wouldnt shut up complaining. And go figure that all you find in the office is this stick figure barbie doll blond. If you dont have blond hair and big boobs the the guys in this company wont treat with respect.

Performed cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping. Wrapped sandwiches/cookies, handled hot entrees, and desserts to customers specifications. Scrubbed and polished counters, cleaned glasses and dishes. Replenished foods to be prepared to meet customers as required. Brewed coffee and tea, and filled containers with requested beverages. Operated dish washing equipment and distributed and stored clean pots, dishes and utensils Cleaned and sanitized production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures Emptied trash containers as required and maintained assigned work station in a safe and sanitary condition

Pros

free lunch

Cons

never a set schedule

Would not recommend working for them. Small company trying to compete with the big boys. Employees and clients suffer.

Over 3 years I made way up quite Rapidly. but after a while, after multiple management changes and a ridiculous amount of staff turnover their true colors started to appear. As much as they preach loyalty and "family values " it became obvious that this company is all talk and going downhill fast.

Not organized

They want to move you around to much.sometimes with little or no notice. Also the times when you need something you will have to wait until the next shift or turnaround comes before you get it.

difficult

started out as a decent work place but after multiple management changes and some new geniuses were brought in, the company went downhill fast and continues on that trend apparently

Worst month of my life

Gong show .... very poor management . Poor communication , extremely petty , lots of drama . When asking chef questions .. his response was always do the best u can . Went in as breakfast cook , get there and I was a baker for half the rotation . Then they hired a papered baker and put her in as a breakfast cook . Still trying to figure that one out !

Enjoyed my time there

Really enjoyed my time there. Thinking about going back. Pay is decent but flights paid for, would be nice. Liked the people I worked with and the people I cooked for.

Good pay, little reward

Moved around a lot due to being a relief cook, most camps were a pleasure to take over, others made me wonder who put the idiot in charge of the kitchen as they were disgusting and the first cook probably knew i'd say something as he had left before i got there and was late for the handover when i left. On seeing this, it was clear that management were happy just to have a permanent cook in the location rather than rectify the situation and replace him.

Pros

Good Pay

Cons

Last minute changes to rotations

very bad company

slavery low paying company . they wish you could work for free . no benifit no room for advancement no guaranteed shuduel . no benifit . temporary slavery low paying job

Pros

low low low pay

Cons

low low pay

No loyalty

Not bad to gain experience, but not the best camp company to work for. Wage decreases, raise freeze, no loyalty, and summer camps don’t pay well. It’s difficult to receive a permanent schedule unless you are amazing at your job.
