Stellar place to work !
Long Haul Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Langley, BC - 3 October 2021
I am semi retired now, but if I was going to go back to work at the coast, that's where I would go. Do your job, and safety leaves you alone. Great shop. Excellent equipment. Awesome dispatchers .

Enjoyable work environment
Long Haul Truck Driver (Current Employee) - Langley, BC - 16 March 2021
Great place to work with the opportunity to make really good money, They have great office staff and the other drivers are very personal and professional. The equipment is in good shape and very new compared to most trucking companies out there, the safety department does a great job of dealing with any concerns that arrive, overall a great and enjoyable place to work.

Very busy yard , many containers going in and out regularly
Driver (Former Employee) - Port Kells - 16 March 2021
RR Plett is a family-owned business. Work is plentiful for those looking. As in any trucking business, the wheels need turning to make money, They can be strict on the procedure but it is best for all. Great place to work
Pros
Drivers room w/TV, showers, laundry
Cons
sticklers for procedures

They fired you without any notice and reason
Heavy Duty Mechanic (Current Employee) - Langley, BC - 13 September 2020
I worked for this company since 2018. And till then i didn't feel secure about my position. Because they always keep you in frame for someone else's mistake. Even leadhands out there are not qualified to complete the jobs. You could possibly got fired for helping someone. They don't care under which circumstances you helped other technician.
Pros
Not much
Cons
Nothing to learn, no job security, no safety standards

Dont bother
Driver (Former Employee) - Langley, BC - 5 September 2020
One dispatcher thought she was Beyonce. Rude with a chip on her shoulder. Payroll lady was a complete joke. Pushy company dispatch. To avoid paying fines they want you to drive illegally. Waste of time. Better companies out there. Also pay is substandard. Don't bother applying.
Pros
None
Cons
Kids running the show

Pushy management
Owner/Operator (Former Employee) - Port Kells, BC - 31 July 2020
I wouldn’t recommend working there as a driver or o/o. Very pushy dispatch and management. Management didn’t care, they just wanted the loads hauled..

Pretty good place to work
Highway Truck Driver (Current Employee) - Langley, BC - 23 August 2019
The work is pretty steady. The only issue is that doing a good job is like peeing yourself in a dark suit. It gives you a warm feeling, but nobody notices.

Great family run business
Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Langley, BC - 26 March 2019
No business is perfect, especially in the trucking business. However, the Plett family are professional, fair and considerate.
Stay away from the"never-never plan" they offer as far as becoming a owner-operator with their lease to own plan, but the same is true for all companies that offer those scams.
The pay scale is market value with plenty of miles available.
Equipment is maintained very well.
This is a great place for a new driver to cut their teeth.
Pros
Safe equipment, good miles.
Cons
Limited routes

tough but good
Class 1 long haul driver (Former Employee) - Langley, BC - 21 January 2016
They run a tough ship but they will always have your back if you are tired or have family plans they will accommodate.
If given half a chance I would be on the road with them again
Pros
great pay
Cons
not much

Religious company, frowned upon us not being married, grouchy dispatcher
Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (Former Employee) - Langley, BC - 14 August 2012
dispatcher (when we worked there) very hard to get along with and consistently felt we were being judged for not being married. They want you to do so many miles a month, but can't provide a proper truck or the work to accomplish that
Pros
none that i can think of
Cons
uses rental trucks that break down often, and still wants you to accomplish what they expect.
