An amazing company under transformation
VP Software Development (Current Employee) –  Montréal, QC11 June 2018
Though this is the largest book provider for the U.S. government, it is a very casual, fun, and rewarding place to work at. The company has recently gone through major managerial changes which, in my opinion, have relieved much of the negative and opaque environment that used to exist. We now have a new VP Sales, new VP Software Development and a new VP of Content. And by the way, two of our top executives at the company are women!

Quickseries now has a growing team of software developers creating amazing products in content delivery. The sales department is under massive transformation to help account managers reach more of their potential and to help the company grow to new heights.

Quickseries is more transparent with everyone than it used to be, and includes all employees at any levels in its new innovation process when coming up with new products. It's really cool to see the whole process.

All in all, this is an excellent company to work at, with lots of room to grow as a professional.
Pros
Closed for 2 weeks at Christmas (paid), 2 offices in convenient locations, a social club that organizes events throughout the year, free parking in one of their location
Cons
Culture needs to improve in some parts of the company (in-progress), Some growing pains - inevitable as a company transforms

Disorganized but enthusiastic
Managing Editor (Current Employee) –  West Island, QC18 March 2018
I enjoyed working with my coworkers. I never had to "bring work home" or work overtime.

However, although employee engagement is requested, it is not actually wanted or rewarded.
Pros
no overtime
Cons
no way to grow
