Great university to work at

Indeed featured review

Generally, it is a great place for young professionals to work and gain experience. Kingston is a small but quiet town, also great for families with small kids.

A good, not great place to work

Some good things about working at Queen's but admin can be a hassle. Have had better experiences working at other universities. Would recommend several other universities in Ontario before this one. Although not Queen's U's fault, cost of living in Kingston is also very high and few jobs on campus pay enough to make up for this.

Pros

$5 staff lunches every Friday

Cons

Everything else.

A very supportive and friendly environment to be at.

I joined Queen's university as a graduate student for five years and as a postdoctoral fellow for less than a year. During this period I got the chance to work with different research groups and communicating with many colleagues, staff and faculty members. Overall, I feel it was an amazing experience.

Great work experience

Queen's University is a pleasant place for working. Coworkers are nice and the benefits are good. The job culture and ethics is positive.

It is good. I have learned a lot from Queen's Chemistry, such as GC-MS and NMR.
