I started with many illusions and quickly realized I was not allowed to have a voice, ask questions, or show agency. I was hired with a graduate degree, experience and motivation and expected to shut up, do my tasks and not question. There is zero innovation, all politics and backstabbing on the admin side. It’s probably great if you’re an academic.
The University is a community and almost seems separate from the rest of Kingston. Very secure.
