Nice place to work in

Indeed featured review

Good for students or as a second job. Don’t expect a lot of hours unless the depot is a busy one. Prepare yourself for some aggressive customers but then some really nice once

Best work

I love it till now . Working environment is also better than others. Its a slow paced work sometimes its too busy but thats fine as long as you are being paid more than the minimum wage.

No work life balance no respect

The job itself is fun if you enjoy customer service and physical labor, and stressful time related issues. If you want time off expect to call in sick. Really just a number and replaceable, so treat them as such.

A pension, even if they are attempting to get rid of that. Lots of hours.

Terrible union, work/life balance, just a number

A secure job

This company is a secure company with decent wages. Not stimulating mentally, but better than factory work. If you are looking to pay bills, then this is an option.

Take advantage of employees

The managment within the company is fine, the way it is run from Corp is insane. They work you 8+ hours daily with only allowing a 15 minute break because you are only ever scheduled to work 5-6 hours. The work is extremely physical, fast paced and hard. You're not given help when needed. Most deffinitly are guaranteed to injure yourself on this job. However the pay and benefits are very good but its still hardly worth it. I do not reccomend working for this company.

Shift availability

Long hours

Could be so much better

Pros: good pay and benefits, no sellingCons: scheduling is based on "seniority" and when asking for better shifts the answer is vague as to what qualifies an agent for a better schedule. Required to login into unnecessary and inefficient time clock software that operates separately from phone software. You are reprimanded and docked pay if you don't use both. No chance for advancement, jobs are posted internally however some stay up for months on end with no actioning leading me to believe they are false listings. No training opportunities to advance internally.

Fun and lots of fat burning activities

If you love physical workout join purolator. If you are lazy couch guy stay away.Once you get in It will be difficult later on you will start enjoying it when you are under a good operations manager.Overall this place is very busy and keeps you going, The only part I dont like is Salary. With current inflation I think a company with standards of Purolator should pay a minimum of 30 per hour for their hard working employees.I would love to join this company again if they have a good offer.

Not bad but not great.

Good management, but some sour coworkers. The union protects some people it really shouldn't, & it takes too long to get into said union. Most of the coworkers are good people, though.

Overall good place

Some people aren't the best, but management is nice and benefits are good. Things are sometimes disorganized and warehouse is too small, causes problems between coworkers sometimes because things get left places.

Productive and relaxed environment.

Relaxed and productive. Pay isn’t great all though. I do recommend if you love union environment with steady work. There isn’t too much pressure as the manager can’t really tell you to work faster or harder because of the union.

Not bad

Good place to work if you have no other education, good pay and benefits, most days were easy but some not so much. Having to deal with customers was the worse part, 90% of them were nice but the other 10% were d***s.

Good company that tries to do the right things for staff and customers.

Overall, a good place to work. Salaries and benefits are competitive. Job security is very high, but there is very low attrition so it's hard to advance. It's the perfect place if you want stability.

Chances to move into different departments and roles that you like to be trained in

This company has excellent benefits and great work atmosphere, feeling like you’re very supported. Coworkers can be like family and supervisors are friends and never make you feel like they are superior to you.

Fully paid benefits and bonuses during a productive year

Sometimes can be scheduled until midnight, have to be calm with irrational customers

Decent place

Decent place to work.very fast paced. Pay is decent but need physically fit. Feel like short staffed with minimum help.typical unionized based on your seniority.

It was alright

It was pretty good. Sometimes you didn't know where you were going for the first hour of your shift. The managers were pretty unorganized but the pay made up for it.

Pretty good company

Working at Purolator has been a pretty good experience so far. The work is not too hard. The only thing you have to worry about is shipping large items and dealing with irate customers. The pay is pretty good too but the only thing is that you don’t get much opportunity to make more hours outside of peak season. So, good pay rate + poor hours = okay pay cheque. You also only get benefits if you’re a full time employee which is unfortunate. The management is pretty decent and fellow employees aren’t too shabby either. It’s a good place to work if you’re a student because hours can be altered if needed. Definitely recommended to those who enjoy customer service and interaction.

Good company. everyone is nice would recommend. Good paying benefits too and if you like easy somewhat challenging work you are at the right place.

zero employee appreciation, I had the district manager tell me if you don't like it quit, there is some one else who wants your job

I enjoyed my customers and most of my job duties, it was only the lack of employee support that was awful.the equipment was maintained and they have on site mechanics, the benefits once you have been there long enough are decent.

good wage and union protection

you are treated as a number not a person

Job overall was okay. Management was pretty abrasive and hard to communicate with at times. Pay and benefits were solid. Being unionized was awesome, very hard to be terminated and pay was solid as a result. Hours were weird if you were working in the afternoon like me, but if you can bare it it's good work on top of another part time job. All in all, good company to work for.

Good pay, Good benefits

Abrasive management

Terrible place for employment

Management is filled with a bunch of grown people acting like they are still in high school. Coworkers are rats that think by snitching they will get a raise or promotion.
