An ever changing and surprisingly disappointing environment.
Care Aide (Current Employee) –  Surrey, BC4 April 2018
All I can say is that the schedule is a mess. The company changes everything around all the time then wonders why you have a second job. My residents never know who is going to give them care from day to day. Its just a frustrating mess.
Pros
I got hard working colleagues
Cons
Its never a set routine

Residential Support Worker (Former Employee) –  Vancouver, BC6 September 2015
PRO VITA CARE MANAGEMENT is a big company. It's fun to work with a good teamwork with my colleagues with supportive management, although, not all the time, but they are trying their best to have a solution. They educate us by giving variety of IN-SERVICE.They gave us benefits, but not as better than the FRASER HEALTH or COASTAL HEALTH STAFF.

Lastly, I'm lucky that i was given an opportunity to work on this company.
Pros
health benefits
Cons
should improve the VL/SL credits

Licensed Practical Nurse (Current Employee) –  Vancouver, BC20 January 2015
typical day at work- giving shift report to oncoming care staff, then making rounds before beginning to give out medications.
- Give out all morning medications, then assist care staff in feeding residents.
-Meet with other staff for morning huddle to discuss resident conditions and prioritize.
- Follow up with physicians re:resident conditions/lab results.
-Wound care and documentation.
-Give lunch time medications, and again assist with feeding of residents in dining area.
-Attending to residents as individually necessary.
-Narcotic count and documentation.
-Give oncoming nurse shift report.
Best part of the job is interacting with residents and co-workers, feeling as if you're part of a team. Also constant learning opportunities. Management is supportive and caring.
